Searing Heat
Mystical
I've been following the only skill quest guild I know to the 'T' so I have skill points left over. Now I just finished Aurora Glade with my E/Mo and realized I don't have Searing Heat!
Anyone know where to find this? Is there a quest? A skill trainer only skill? If so where is the skill trainer?
I've done a few minor searches and it seems I have to go back into Aurora Glade to cap it, but I want to eliminate the easier possiblities first. After all, I am lazy.

Ah thanks, and yes I knew about the skill quest guild (check the link I posted in the original post).
I must be tired since I went ahead and searched the fourms, then posted, before even consulting the skills database here. Doh!
Thanks agian!

The above link is really useful, but since yesterdays patch is missing 2, maybe 3 quests which give skills: "Ascalon Settlement", which starts outside Lion's Arch, and "The Price of Steel" which continues from the "Message in a Log" quest. I suspect the quest in "Temple of the Ages" also offers a skill reward.

There is a sticky on the main forums with the new quests and the rewards listed. It was the link that had the above link included

Why don't you cap it from a White Mantle Savent Elementalist Boss? You can also cap Glyph of Elemental Power which, if you don't, can only be learnt after forge.

IMO capture signets on anything less than an elite is a waste of a capture signet.
Not that searing heat is that good anyway though...

But if you're going to buy the skill at a trainer later in the game anyway..where is the harm in using a SoC on it early?
Either way, it will cost you a skill point.

there is no harm. you get the skill either way. this way you get it for half of the gold cost, and earlier than you normally would have.

I capped Aftershock in the desert, which was significantly earlier time/effort wise than going to Marhan's. I was very pleased, since I was specifically looking forward to making builds revolving around it.

What mission is this white mantle boss in? Ive seen him , I just don't remember.

I saw it in Aurora long time ago...first boss you meet (to the left)
Also, in Nebo terrace there was a boss with a cool spell (think its mark of rodg), wasnt able to capture it though, cuz everytime another boss sapwned when I returned with a SoC.

Invariably, using cap signets on all skills that you can't normally get through quests is cheaper than actually buying said skills from a trainer. Using cap signets on nothing but elites is a good way to waste money on buying non-elite skills from a trainer, as it gets pretty expensive later on (upwards of 4-500 gp for a skill, compared to 2-300 for a SoC).
