Guild Donation Varient

Ok First part of the idea.

Right now your guild hall is a pretty empy place to visit. What i propose is that everyone who is currently logged out of the game would have a instance of thier main(or last used, either works for hte idea) charcter in the guild hall sitting somewhere.

One this would lend to the feeling of being in a group by actually being able to 'see' all the people that are in your guild, even if they are offline, other then just see a list of names.

But having all these instances sitting around leads to the next part.

As long as the player has slot open in their inventory you can go up to the sitting offline instance and instead of trade you bring up a donation window. this would let you drop off items for that player even if they are not around when you are. That player next time they log in are given a message saying who dropped off what to them while they were offline.


this idea could then lead to other availability like a mail system. You could buy a letter for 10-25 gold. it would let you write a short note on it then you could give that letter to another player. they double click to open and read it. it could then be destroyed or salvaged(for what.. just an idea). but the whole thing would take up an inventory slot.

you see how this could be expanded on and used for other things. Especially if eventually you can take nonguild member/invite them into visit your Hall they could see the guild without them nessicarily all being on.

Sounds pretty good...

I like it, but what about those that are not in guilds? Where would their characters go? There are some flaws, but I think we all understand everything in this topic isn't the final draft. I think we do need something like this. I hate it when I really need to talk with someone and they don't check their emails or get on any im service, they just go straight to gw.

well for non guild people or guilds without a hall i don't know. I was sorta thinking it would be a perk for those that have one.

like you said not a final draft. Just a idea to be tossed around and possible changes and evolutions come from constructive discussion

ok came up with some ideas

well for guildless people how often are they gonna have people wanting to leave them stuff anyway. having a instance in the hall after you log out woudl be a guild perk.

as for the hall less guilds. How about this. Everyone gets a guild hall. Wait don't protest yet. before you get buy a hall you just have a random clearing. This way all those guilds that want one for social reasons will have a place. and it will let the instances for that guild have a place to be. what style the clearing is could be random. be it desert or jungle or what ever. if you guild wants somthing bigger and nicer or want to GvG or any number of other things that guidl halls may have later they have to buy/earn one. the clearing would be a sorts of starter hall for those that can't afford one yet or those that just want a social meeting place for thier guild but don't need the rest of the stuff Halls normally would have.
