Ok, Im working on a energy storage smite build, heres what it is.
Energy storage (6+2) 8
Healing (10)
Smiting (12)

skills are
Healing Hands (Elite)
Balthazars Aura
Symbol of Wrath
Orison of healing
Healing Touch or Healing Breeze (need help deciding)
Mend condition or Smite Hex (depending on where im going)
winborne speed
Zealots Fire

So the plan is to cast zealots fire, run into battle, throw up healing hands, then balthazars aura, then symbol of wrath, and spam orison and healing breeze/touch until they die.

What do you guys think of this build?

It's a decent build, although builds that spam spells with zealot's fire easily run out of energy if they don't have some energy management, and once you get down to zero energy, the last thing you wanna do is sit there waiting 5 seconds before you can cast your next spell.
I think a much better idea would be a monk/mesmer. Monk primary to crank up your smiting to 16 for some great damage, and mesmer secondary for channeling and maybe energy drain. Put on channeling and zealots, and jump in the fray. Often, you're gonna be getting back 5+ energy off of each cast if you position yourself right, letting you spam RoF/orison/touch with no downtime while channeling works its magic (god I love this skill, it's on every monk build I make). Balthazar's aura is definitely nice, but the 25 energy cost is a huge kick in the groin. I would only take it if I'm carrying channeling AND energy drain.

edit: oh I just noticed this is a /farming build, in which case you might wanna consider something to keep you alive, since healing spells alone may or may not be enough. So you might wanna scratch the energy drain idea and take a monk elite like mark of prot. or healing hands.

You're going to be sitting around FOREVER waiting for your mana to get back up. Personally, I'd suggest using some Elementalist AoE spells, which usually do more damage than smiting spells, with Aura of Restoration healing you. Without Divine Favor, your heals will be inefficient, and without energy management, you will run out of energy very quickly. If you have a spammable AoE spell, then you could even switch to E/Me temporarily (when you switch, you get all your Monk attribute points refunded for free), use Channelling, Aura of Restoration, and a spammable AoE spell, then switch back when you're done (the Mesmer quest is pretty easy for this build, although I don't know about the Monk quest).

If you want a good farming build, regardless of class, here's what I used today (I took down 2 lvl21 sand drakes, 1 lvl25 sand drake elementalist boss, and 4 lvl20 bug-things, at once, without danger of death, just northeast of Elona's Reach):

Divine Boon
Signet of Judgement (Elite)
Balthazar's Aura
Symbol of Wrath
Divine Spirit
Zealot's Fire
Channelling
Balthazar's Spirit

Throw on Balthazar's Spirit when you leave town. Use Zealot's Fire, then Channelling, right before battle. Run in, cast Symbol of Wrath, Balthazar's Aura, Divine Spirit, then spam Divine Boon (1/4 cast, no cooldown). If you're out of energy, then use Signet of Judgement. If you do this right, you get 200 health/s and 60 PBAoE DPS from Divine Boon and Zealot's Fire alone. Balthazar's Aura adds 20, Symbol of Wrath adds 25. Channelling lets you use Divine Boon for free, if you are facing 6 or more enemies. Divine Spirit lowers the cost of Divine Boon to 1 (although you lose 2 energy after casting it, you can still cast it with just one energy), making it completely free with 3 or more enemies, but even against one enemy, you'll still have enough to cast it very often, because of natural energy regen.

I could name a lot of skills but i will just mention 1, Ether Renewal. With the smiting skills beignh almost all of them enchants, cast Ether Renewal when your magic is down and cast zealots fire and then Ether, then spam th crap out of whatever skill you got and you will be healing yourself and causing dmg at the same time. By the time you are finish with Ether your energy should be back to max and you can start all over casting your different skills and by the time you hit 15 energy Ether should be recharged back again and start cycle again. There are better elites out there like Shield of Judgement but since you cant be a 100% sure you can get a decent healer I'll take self healing any day before a little bit more damage.

If you want to hear my 2 cents:
Monk/mesmer (10 inspiration, 11+1+X Smiting, 10+X(1) Devine Favor )
Aura of Faith (e) or Shield of Judgement (e)
Devine Boon
Zealot's Fire
Life Attunement
Blessed Signet
Channeling
Essence Bond
Balthasar's Spirit

That was the build i was recently running on Snake Dance.
Throw up the 3 permanent enchantments ( balthasar, life attunement, Essence Bond) first, get your energy back using signet and complete the enchantment procedure right before you "dive" into the mobs.
Just get 4-8 Griffons on you (beware of the evil Stone Summit Arcanists) and press on Devine Boon until everything is dead.
Anything else you might wanna figure out yourself, if not... i can't spoil everything

On an Interview they said that the reason drops went to zero for some ppl while farming was because of last weeks update, it was an unexpected error wich the fix in this last update. So yes, I'm pretty sure you can farm again.

Divine Spirit works quite well in letting you cast Divine Boon over and over. With 16 Divine Favor, Blessed Aura, and a +20% enchantment mod, it lasts for like 18 seconds.

The Akkadians (AkX)

E/Me

Here was the setup:

Reversal of Fortune -Protection
Guardian -Protection
Aura of Restoration -Energy Storage
Ether Renewal (E) -Energy Storage
Symbol of Wrath -Smiting
Zealot's Fire -Smiting
Bathazar's Aura -Smiting
Resurrect of your choice-Any

Yeah, it can be improved upon, but I have a habit of bringing a rez wherever I go.

Ok, the point is this: With protection, you can keep yourself just as tankish as with healing. Also, another reason is that you can spam Reversal and Guardian on yourself over and over, and as you do, typical 20 damage to all enemies (usually defended vs. fire). Balthazar's yes, takes lots of mana for what it does, but it casts quickly and recharges fairly fast. Symbol of wrath is to pump up the damage.
Over 60 seconds, this build can pump out a steady stream of 50 dps (approximately) to everything around you.

When you get to the first point where energy is running dry, once you hit -15-, use Ether Renewal then use that last five to cast Reversal. if you're doing it right, and without much enchantment removal, you should have 4 enchantments running on you. With Ether at a high level, you'll get about 100 health (bonus from Aura of Restoration) and 20 energy for any spell you cast for 10 seconds. Figuring you can almost cast a spell a second, you no longer need a monk to keep you alive.

This build fails when up against heavy interruption (4 distracting shots from rockshots) or mass enchantment removal (well of profane alone ruins this build entirely). It relies way too much on enchantments. If you are up against anything that doesn't interrupt or destroy enchantments, you should be able to beat it, and all of it's friends easily.

It's a good fun, effective solo build...and if you stack the enchants appropriately, low enchantment removal won't hurt much....and if something distracts reversal or guardian, you aren't in much trouble either. If they get your Ether or nuke all of your enchantments, it usually takes too much time, or energy to get the build running again...and more often or not, those things happen at the moment you don't have either of those to spare.

And an added bonus, you can cast like crazy on an ally, keeping them alive, and making them into your walking bomb.
