Quick questions about Signet of Capture

Yesterday I got my first SoC. Now before I go on a raid to hunt down a boss and use it, I got a few quick questions:

1) When is an SoC considered "spent"? When you use it on a dead boss to get the list of the available skills or when you actually pick a skill from the list? Can you CANCEL the capture when you see that the boss has no skills of interest for you?

2) You can capture ANY skill from bosses, not just elite skills, right?

3) Is it correct that there is not a single boss with an ELITE skill in Ascalon, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kryta or Maguum Jungle? They are ALL down in Southern Shiverpeaks, the Desert, or on the Volcano Islands?

1) Yep, I tried that, it's only used when you select a skill to capture, so you can check bosses, without burning the SoC.

2) Correct.

3) Correct as far as I've seen, the first elite I know of is in the crystal desert.

for #3 yeah as far as i'v seen myself too, they start to be used by boss in the desert, south shiverpeak and rign of fire

One more question: Can you carry more than 1 SoC at a time?

Yes, but the elites you capture (all except one) get taken out when you enter a outpost/town.

Huh?

Just to make 100% sure that I don't waste a skill point here:

1. When I already have an SoC, and I accept the quest from Magi Malaquire to get a 2nd SoC, are you sure that the 2nd SoC won't "overwrite" the 1st one that I already have?

2. If I capture 2 skills, 1 being an elite skill and 1 a normal skill, will both of then stay when I enter a town/outpost?

1. It remains, you can have several SoC in your skill list.

2.Yes they stay (& with "taken out" I mean they go away from "8 skill list" but remain in your "known skill list").

Okay, thanks again. I'll trust you, go ahead and accept the quest from Malaquire then. But in case my nice and shiny new SoC gets scrapped, I'll have to come back and slap you with a trout.

And if it gets scrapped, just buy a new one
Also, when u captered an elite and already got an elite equiped you can use them both for the remainder of the mission

I don't care much about the gold, but I really don't wanna waste a valuable skill point.
