Is it just me, or is the new False Gods Quest at the Temple of Ages rather wimpy. I saw it added last night, and was expecting to see something compareable to Villany, however from start to finish, this new one took me maybe 10 minutes to complete start to finish.

Well, I don't think that it's designed for lvl20 ascended characters. I think that it's designed for the high-mid teen characters who just reached the Temple of the Ages.
