gold armor-how rare is it?

Gold Armor holds superior runes. Anyone know who/what drops gold armor. If u know post the approxamite odds. Thnx

Anything that drops armor can drop gold armor. The chances are completely random and I dont' think there's any specific info on what percentage chance it'd drop. Maybe 1/100?

Gold armor also doesn't always have superior runes, unless they changed that, but I've gotten many pieces of gold armor with major runes, kinda dissapointing but, oh well

I have played 60 hours, ascended and to date have gotten 2 gold drops, 1 was a gold armor which turned to a superior vigor which i sold quickly for 80k

Ive ascended 3 characters and have only gotten 1 gold armor drop and didnt get anything from exp. salvaging it. Talk about shitty. I would say 1/100 is sorely misrepresented. Perhaps 1/6000 would be better.

So far ive had:
1 gold item drop
8 Purple drops
Limitless "worthless" blue items. Between all my characters.

You have to take into account that all items are distributed randomly between players and henchmen, and the fact that not all monsters drop armor. Rares also tend to drop more on certain maps than others. Basically on a good map (high level monsters, monsters that drop a lot of armor) its probably fairly close to 1 out of every 100 armors dropped will be a rare, at least in my experience.

1% chance on gold 5% chance on purple 20% on blue.

Yea, that's right. That happened to me too. Got a major rune from a gold armor. Not always superior.
