Special Attributes on Drops

I got a blue grawl armor the other day that said it gave +1 to Water Magic. This was one of the normal salvage items except for this special attribute. I salvaged it thinking I would get a minor rune or something and all I got was 4 iron ingots. What was I supposed to do with it?

Previously there was always a chance of losing runes in salvaging (over the past three days I lost 5 consecutive runes: 3 superior, 2 major). As of today, as long as you salvage with an expert kit you should get the rune out.

If you use an expert salvage kit you will get the rune out. Expert salvage kits can be bought all over for 400 gold each.

You know what? I thought I had an expert salvage kit but I was short on gold and skimped. Next time I will be more careful. Thanks for the help!
