Guild Wars Lagging?

Well anyways during the 2 months after launch the game ran fine no lag then it started to get a little worse but still playable but just recently like 2 weeks ago i stopped playing the game because there is too much lag i cant see my team-mates and i always skips when im running. I wouldnt mind if it did it now and then but its been happening all the time even in Cities that only have 2 Districts with people in them. It is really hard playing a game that lags some missions i had to do 10-15 times before i beat them another thing is that my Energy bar Say i have like 30/80 but it wont let me use it, is the lag causing it to not read mana clearly. So these are my experinces have any of you guys ran into same Problem.

Ps There is no way the problem is on my part comp/connection are all good.

There seems to be some lag but I have not had it to the extent that you seem to have had. I think it can be attributed to the increase numbers of players that have purchased the game. BTW I mostly use henchies so I dont know if that makes a diff or not. In districts with fewer peeps I rarely lag.

Yea i was also thinking that but shouldnt AreaNet be upgrading there Equipment with the money they have been getting from people buying the game and Yea ive tried henchies and it does go away but the reason i got the game was so i can with people not NPCs that dont talk and are pretty retarded(though some people arent as smart as them).

I had an apparent lag issue with the 08/06 patch but the 15/06 patch seems to resolved it - either it was a GW issue or my internet connection stabilised...

Just tried doing mission with henchies and lag is still there just not as bad as with human players so im pretty sure something is up with AN because ive asked a few people playing and they say they have been getting it too.

Sometimes I get lag, but I have 56K... I mean seriously I love 56K, not only do u get the convenience of having your phone lines tied up, but you move at the BLAZING speed of a pregnant snail...

I have noticed lately that there has been an odd spite in lag..... don't know if this is me or the server.... but it wasnt like that a while ago :/

the only time i get lag is:

*In the first 30 seconds when i enter an area

*During the first battle after i enter an area

*when something happens to my computer (IM, some other stupid ****)

The first two don't always happen, and no.2 only really happens if i start a fight within the first 30 seconds of walking into an area.

The lag I get is not simular to yours but just as annoying. For me sometimes the enemy skills don’t show up under there health bar, for example I can see them doing something like rezzing because they are not moving and after they finish rezzing (aka dead person gets up) I get the icon popping up saying they used a rez skill.

Oddly enough I can still interrupt, but only spells that take longer then 1 sec do to the lag and most of the time only by guess work since I don’t know what they are casting. Its a fairly big issue for me in PvP its sad when I watch a guy rez for 8 sec and only get told after what skill he was using, rez signets usually don’t even show up.

I wonder if I lag behind in anything ells like damage for example although that is much harder to tell but would explain a few things if I was.

Yeah I started getting lag also. I defraged my puter it seems to have helped alot. Even if you analyze it and says it doesnt need it try it anyways especialy if you havnt done it in awhile sometimes a patch is placed at in a bad location on the hard drive.

I have had lag ever since I got this game.....

I have 512/256 broadband. I think the problem is I live in australia. and I am only able to connect to America or Europe.

get AUSTRALASIA A SERVER ANET! please for pete's sake stop the lag.

with henchies I get sever "rubberbanding" and even at time people stop walking and start WARPING every second.

I just wish I had a server closer to me. PVP with 250ms ping? are you nuts?

if your not going to give players here the service you give players in america, why bother selling it to us? oh, you just want our money and only care about the quality of gaming for those people near you? oh. fine...

I've been having increased lag issues over the last week and a half or so. For instance, I'll fire off a skill and it won't actually fire off for 30s. or click on the storage agent and I don't even start moving for 15s. It's quite annoying when you're in battle and you finally call a target 10 s after it's already dead LOL.

I've taken to avoiding PUGs lately so that I don't get yelled at for standing around doing nothing.

Dude, how do I get this AMAZING technology of yours???

I do notice lag becoming worse lately. I'll attack some creature, only to instantly jump into it, and then eight seconds later the game has finally made me walk there behind the scenes, and things progress.

Also, as a tanker, it's REALLY annoying when you're trying to block critters from your squishies and they just teleport through you.

I agree, if this lag gets any worse, Anet needs to do some investing in their hardware infrastructure. It's not as if the game isn't selling.

er... it's true that the lag has probably increased cause i always hear about it, but honestly i have only lagged once and that was 3 days ago, so i dunno much about it. but if it's anet's prob then i'm sure they will fix it. they cool that way
