I was doing the Fort Ranik mission today and something unexpected happened. As some of you might know, there are two trebuches in the mission. On the second one, I remembered that the boss (who you kill to beat the mission) comes out to observe you then runs away back behind the wall. Well i remembered this so I sprinted with my warrior and loaded and launched the second trebuche as fast as possible. Well lo behold the boss started running but the shot killed him resulting in an insta win of the mission. Is this legitamate? As far as I remember, the second trebuche was to kill the charr warriors by having someone round them up around their totem, not kill the boss right there.

That wouldn't be a bug, as everything functioned like it was supposed to.

You just gave an example of why human intelligence>Machine intelligence.

If he patrols within range of the trebuchet, it's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

you don't have to use the person as bait, if you get close enough they all trigger to run towards the post (like the justicars in riverside). then they just stay there and you can get someone to fire. then you can avoid the rest of the guys because they don't move from their new spots. no bait required, no killing required... yes! easiest finish to a mission ever.

or you could just ask a pro monk guildy to run around, gather everyone, and cast protective spirit on himself before the shot hits

Have seen this happen without any need for tricks (including sprint).
