moussaan
yes i did , im a necro/ranger and i just finished to beat the mirror its not that hard...
the concept of the mirror is to act the same skills that you use on him on you so ur always advantage because its you who begin acting..
all u have to do is:
1-empty ur skill container.
2- Add the skill vampiric touch and Dark Pact and another useless Skill(awaken of blood or a skill that sacrifice ur health)..
3- now all u have to do is go to ur mirror and attack him with dark pact keep attaking him with this and with a skill that sacrifice ur life , he will do the same and he will begin to loose health so u need to have a high blood magic points so leave him to lose health until the 10% rest from his health and then attack him with the vamparic gazz and voila

Bring 8 sacrificing skils?
codemeister
you could just bring a bunch of spirits and as hes casting those attack and kill him
dargon
4 spirits + 3 sacrifice skills + storm chaser.
Use storm chaser before you hit the last stone outside and skip the cutscene. Run up the ramp to the top and then start shooting him. He'll be summoning spirits and the height will increase your dmg. You also may want to lay down one spirit 1/2 way up the ramp as a decoy, he'll kill it before he comes for you.

a few seconds of looking of the forums and i found strategies for beating your mirror for each different profession. although, you shouldn't need them.
relating to how you want to beat it, you have two of the easiest professions to beat it with.
necro - sacrifice hp skills.
ranger - spirits.
choose either one. but the trick is to NOT use the skills you equipped.

I beat my mirror by just equipping sacrifice skills (you dont have to fill all your slots).
make sure that they have no health bonus after x second attributes and that they dont hurt you.
then just auto attack

Just remember that at long range the mirror always uses a bow, and at short range he'll always switch to a melee weapon. (Sword, Axe, or Hammer).
As a ranger, I found that the best way to defeat the mirror was to use bow-specific skills and just stay in-close. The mirror had no access to any of the skills I equipped because he was forced to use an axe in close proximity. Regretably, I had also included TRoll Ungent, which inevitably kept him alive longer, because it was difficult for me to time my interrupts with him, but besides that it was a breeze.

Use two or three good abilities and fill the rest of the slots with slow casting, useless abilities, preferably enchantments, stances, or preperations, as the mirror will spend all his time casting those while you blast away with the good spells.
Howling Wind
Damn 60 times is a lot...just try 7 rituals and other craps and 1 as tigers fury or kindle arrows or another ritual

Here's my trick...bring in death nova and 1 attack spell, Enchant yourself with death nova and run near the mirror and keeping whacking him with your attack spell. Most likely you will die but the death nova blast and poison will kill him and in the end you will win ^_^

do it with a necro / mesmer
hit yourself with the hex barrier spell prior to stepping on the last stone, then you will have the enchantment when you arrive in the battle.
next, hit her with deathly swarm, then rotting flesh, then deathly swarm. this will bug her up sufficiently and drain your energy pool as well.
hit her with energy tap, then ether feast. you should be good to hit her with a couple more deathly swarms and she is toast.
gl. works for me, seamlessly.

Someone spread a rumour the doppelganger uses an energy-leeching melee weapon. Is there any truth in this? I was afraid of this so I attacked the guy from range with life siphon, vampiric gaze(doesn't this remind u of diablo2
), swarm, and my truncheon.
It was very close, thot I was going to lose cuz I had less life than he had towards the end...then suddenly I won...maybe it was lag.

I found beating my mirror self with an N/Me SO easy, and that was mainly using Necromancer skills.
Basically - take any and all skills that take a % of max life for little actual benefit. There are a few other skills that help as well (Signet of Agony - He hurts himself + starts bleeding, Chillblains - He diseases himself), the key thing is to let him nuke himself to death.
I personally avoid taking direct damage spells, as he'll do more damage than you with them, and he has more life.
As far as my Mesmer side went - Chaos Storm and Empathy
