Commanding Henchman

I have been playing GW for a while, mostly solo since I hate LFG. I have really enjoyed the experience. Now, I have landed at a mission (Aurora Glade) that requires me to be on a standard multiplayer team instead of using henchmen. I do play well with others. However, my limited available game time does not leave me with the freedom to spend it "looking for a party". In fact, that is why I left FFXI. They (GW developers) could remedy this by making the henchmen commandable (i.e., attack my target, form on me, protect target, remain here, etc). This would further enhance our game experience by allowing us to complete any and all missions solo (with henchman) or with friends. Anyone else have thoughts on the matter?

Haven't done Aurora Glade yetm but I thought the game could be beaten with only the henchies.
On the surface, I like the thought of being able to give them commands, but in actuality, I think there's enough going on in the battles already that worrying about commanding the henchies would devolve into chaos.
That's just me though.

Up to the desert you can do missions with henchies just fine.
The only problem in the aurora mission is to time the right moment when to sneak past the first guarded gate.
At first you need to get close to the tower, in order to draw them away from the gate, then rush through the gate, best without any aggro, but even if you draw some, simply run further down the road and they should leave you alone again.
At least the nasty part is close to the start, instead of some of the later missions, where it can happen that you fail at the end over and over again
But, regarding the controllable henchies, this would be an awesome addition, because trapping & pulling are currently more based on luck than strategy. Not to mention that little wannabe tank called Alesia

I think that would be VERY usefull for people soloing, i like to do soloing when ever i cant be bothered to get a PUG or wait for my guildies to come, so having even some basic control such as stop or heal me or something would really help.
However, in group where there are only partly made up of henchmen, it could bring up dificutlys like who controls them, what if that person doesnt control them right etc.
