Is the "vampiric" prefix any good for pvp?

I'm currently using it on my axe w/mo (a +3/-1 one)...but I'm just wondering if I should replace "vampiric" with zealous instead...but then axe skills use adrenaline ...

Think of it like +3 damage and nothing more, then you decide.

Why should he think of it as nothing more? Thats not the truth you know.

It's more or less the truth as the healing benefit is negligible, given the degen and how little it actually matters.

It IS the truth.

In 4 seconds you would gain 9 life but you would degen 8.

.25 life stolen per second, imba.

That leaves the extra damage.

Well your numbers are probably right, I wont argue with those. But having used vampiric swords for some time I will claim that they have much more practical benefit, than you will see from looking only at your numbers. First of all use mending to negate the degeneration. You need 8 in healing to get +3 mending, that will amount to +2 regeneration and +3 leech in combat. This will keep your health at maximum untill the shit hits the fans. Going into combat, or being in the middle of combat, at max health and not f.ex 7/8 health is a benefit not recognized by most. This is widely overlooked if you just look at numbers. It is the rule of thumb in PvE, that I will be at max health in combat, while my team is balancing between max and 1/2 health.

I use Vigourous Spirit when the going gets tough. As my second healing spell. At healing 8 it gives me 8 health back every swing. This amounts to getting 11 life back each attack, the leech resulting in working as if I had spent attribute points all the way up to 11 in healing. A lot is saved here.

In the Arenas I need not fear any warrior, i have only twice experienced loss to a fighter in combat. I have no clue what build they used. I have beat each and every other who stood up against me. The hidden benefit when in combat is the fact that your healing is passive. Your adversary needs to cast a healing breeze? You get free attacks of while he is wasting time. This is not recognized by looking at numbers. Yourself, you just attack attack attack. the better you are at targetting nearest in combat (not very hard^^), the better is your heal. And you are not wasting a single second. This will win you the day.

Lastly if you want to try this out, I use warriors endurance to completely solve the problem of less mana regenaration due to keeping up an enchantment. It works great. The weakness of the build is also this, enchantments can be broken. It doesnt happen as often as you would think. but if it does, I myself switch to a Sundering Flamberge of Fortitude, and then take it from there.
