How does Zealots Fire Work?

I have read the description and have test it against enemies yet I dont thing its working. If i use a skill on myself does the surrounding enemies get hurt? by the way im using it to farm. Can someone please clarify how this skill works? ty

If you are enchanted with Zealot's Fire, then every single time you cast a spell on yourself (including Symbol of Wrath and, I believe, Aegis and Heal Party) or an ally, then all enemies in a small radius (think Heal Area) around the target (not the caster) will take damage. I don't believe that skills will set it off, only spells, which may be your problem.
