diff between Tombs and HoH?
blackEyEz
Kind of newby question but whats the diff between Tombs and HoH and the fighting part before you go into PvP is that to decide how good the group is?
Usualy we end up in underworld and sometimes with 6 teams or the relic cap. Is there a list or rules what maps there are?
And as last when do you get to HoH?
Thanks

Getting to HoH is completely random.
Sometimes you battle through tons of matches and still don't get there and sometimes you get there straight from the group assembly area.
Anyways the maps are something like this:
The Underworld 1 v 1, kill ghostly hero for a 10% moral boost.
Scarred Earth 6 teams, 1 v 1, then 1 v 1 v 1
Broken Tower three way King of the Hill.
Those are the three 'main' ones that most people go through.
There's more, such as the Courtyard, the Vault, the HoH, and the relic run maps (I don't know the name of these off teh top of my head, rarely see them).

you have to pass them to get to the hoh.
the difference is that you don´t get any reward (except some famepoints) for winning the tomb maps.
but for winning hoh you get celestial sigils, items, a message showing your teams/guilds name in serverwide chat and if you win it often enough in a row you open underworld and fissure four your country.

2 team deathmatch (2 maps)
6 team deathmatch (2 maps)
2 team capture the relic (2 maps)
3 teams king of the hill (2 maps)

at the end then there is the hoh map.
basically a king of the hill match.

while we are throwing around newbie questions about PvP, let me add one(only been playing for 4 days or so)...
What exactly is "the favor of the gods"? I see this mentioned on all the PvP serverwide broadcasts...."so and so has won a match in the Hall of Heroes, to take the favor of the gods from *insert country*, *insert country* has to win 4 more times."
or something like that.
what does "favor of the gods" mean?
and another newbie question...what is the absolute earliest one can get involved in any form of PvP, with a "normal" (read: not auto-level 20 PvP) character?

Having the favor of the gods means your country has a team holding the Hall of Heroes
If your country has the favor of the gods, then you can "use" the statues of the gods, especially the ones in Temple of the Ages. In pre-searing, I noticed the statue of Blathazar in green Hills County is on fire when my country has the favor.
THe earliest you can get involved in PvP is right after you enter the academy (some may argue that the academy itself is PvP)

ok..thanks for that answer.
now suppose I want to get a small taste of PvP now....where do I need to go?
and is the PvP seperated by level ranges or anything?
I'm level 12 now, btw.

thanks all for the replies
as last question, when you reach HoH, is that the same location? So if you have to do it over you need to go through the tombs again?
thanks.

HoH is the name given to the final round in the group of PvP missions in the tombs. It's just like any other round, except if you win it you get sigil drops and get to do it again.

Well when you win the HoH you now get three Sigils and items. Items are rares (yellows) and can be wands, staffs, hammers, etc... or unidentified armors. The fame you gain from winning the HoH also increases per each victory and caps at 40 per win after a while. Finally when you win the HoH you stay there and the next round you start the map by holding it. You only gotta do it once to understand how it works, then it gets simpler and simpler. One thing I dislike about the HoH though is that it's got some funky graphic issues. My computer tends to get a little more chopy, either because of the three teams dishing it out or because of that yellow hue that covers the ground (make your characters yellow to annoy your ennemies)

Tombs isn't entirely PVP, there is this little PVE bit at the beginning which if you lose, well, dust yourself off and try again :P
