Dual screen [2560x1024] GW wallpaper
Lindesty Takahari
Just spent 4 hours making it. The toughest parts were the shadows. It was the first time i ever attempted to do em like that, and i think i pulled it off quite nicely.
And i don't even have a Wacom. My clicking finger hurts.
Use it wisely

And for the non-dual screen people, the lazy man's 1280x1024 and 1024x768. If anybody needs higher res than that for single screen, post your res and email and i'll mail it to you.

nice work, it's now my new wallpaper
midnyte13
thats awesome!

Thanks. The images used were render art from the GW site, cut out meticolously, the guild wars logo is also available in high res on their website.
If anybody needs the PSD files with the characters cut out already, send me a pm and i'll email them to you.

Far too kind .

Ok, some people would like the other characters from the render art done as well, so i'll cut them out tomorrow and send to the people that i've already sent the first batch.
The first file is about 6 mbs, and i think there are even more characters on the site left that i haven't used... So the end file should be about 15 mbs-ish. We'll see. Just saying this so the people with small mail boxes tell me in their pms first so i don't send the whole thing and i get an email back talling the attachment was too big.
Come to think of it, there will have to be 2 files anyway, since gmail has problems with anything over 10 mbs i think.

Photoshop CS is just a newer version of CS. (Okay the brush palettes are different but the lasso tools are the same as older versions.
So, yes you could cut out the figures your self in Photoshop 7 and even 6. (I jumped from 6 to CS myself.)
Also, the creator of the dual monitor wallpaper very likely used the polygonal lasso tool (which is in all photoshop version from 5.5 to CS.)
Jood job on doing that with a mouse though! Can't say I'd ever try to cut something that complex with the mouse.

You would probably be able to do that kind of work in Fireworks MX 2004 wouldn't you?

No not really.
Lindesty Takahari
Yes, i used the polygonal lasso tool and like i said it took me about 3 hours to cut them all out and an extra hour for the shadows.
