armor and energy from staff.

I am a warrior/mesmer, i just wanted to know if therre is a one handed staff or protective icon for a mesmer, that would give me more energy and armor as i would be with out a shield. As i only have 20 energy a warrior, energy is used up very fast.

You can always use a normal offhand focus item for an energy boost. There is an offhand focus item for each attribute that deals with casting, mesmer has a few. You can get a focus item with some armor, but nothing like a shield. You can always use two weapon slots, one with your weapon/shield the other with weapon/focus and switch to focus when you need mana, and when your mana is drained to back to shield for more armor.

I play a w/e and I use a focus item offhand, I do have a shield but I dont even bother switching out anymore, as the additional mana helps my playstyle alot more.

Highest Def you can get from a focus vs. all is 5, but you will pay with -5 energy or -20 health...

you can get +4-8 for any specific thing (like against physical). but even if you somehow got 2 of these max mods, it would not really amount to the def of a shield.

If you wanted to go heavy on casting you probably should not have gone w/ war primary...
