Pathetic Updates...
Ionian
Yeah, I've found the new updates (The one from June 15, that is) really annoying and 'Unfair'...I mean, seriously; Guild Wars is rap1ng people that have already ascended, new players also now get it very easily through being able to buy anything they need...like runes for example(Practically worth nothing). The xp they receive nowadays is also very different. So is GuildWars going to give already ascended players that 50Kxp that you get once you ascend?

Yes, the XP we recieve now is very different... Given that we can double and triple it with the new EXP scrolls they just added. Or did you gloss over that part too?
The new patches are not 'pathetic' in any way, shape, or form. In fact, they represent the apex of the genre right now.

3 cheers for the updates and keep them coming.
it was finally worth buying a vigor rune today

What's 'pathetic' is that the game is so easy now

When playing an mmorpg at release... be ready for dissapointments as updates come to alliviate the problems for other players... think of it this way. You're doing the future community good by helping them in their final "testing", which all mmorpg's go through. Most other mmorpgs have much more drastic changes... at least a simple xp boost is easily gotten from fissure, as some quests i hear go up to 10k exp... and quite a few quests are really easy... so eh...
Just wait till some sort of character nerf goes in action... all those with the nerfed character are gonna be able to get pissed... joy, joy... i'm glad tho, that it seems anet worried nearly only about pvp, and balancing issues before release, so i don't expect to see much of that.

I'd like to remind you that any expansions that are released are going to be for the lv 20 and up game. I'm sure a.net just wants to make sure everyone can enjoy those expansions when they come out, not just those that have collected and done everything possible within game.

a prediction
somehow
someway
they will adjust the game so most will be accended by the time of next chapter release
maybe mor powerful henchmen to help
maybe make things easier like the ashes quest whatever
i predict it will get tweaked easier as they see the percentages of accended players

The patches are not pathetic but they are absurd compromises and mere band-aids to the actual problems. Maxing xp at 20k per sp is still absurd, especially because anet is constantly trying to nerf farming. I would much rather be earning my 30k+ xp by mauling hordes of jade spiders or flesh golems who don't have chillbains or much increased dmg and are possible to solo for multiple classes than earn 20k+ only by doing uw/fissure quests. 20k is such an absurd number too; they could've easily made it a max of 2k and achieved the same purposes with far better results.
If you think these patches make the game easier, you're playing the wrong game, sorry. There are many others that cater to people who love grinding and repetitive work. GW is not just 'any old mmonrpg without a monthly fee.'

They need to make the game more social. Maybe some areas are open to anyone to come in and kill mobs. Just random people in a area like other rpg's. That would be fun and social. Stronger mobs too so LOTS of ppl need to help to kill it. and no UBER weapons. just fancier looking weapons but same stats.

As stated in Many reviews. Forget everything you know about an mmorpg, do Not try and compair it to others... it is a game of its own distinction, and personaly, i think it's already made quite an impact on the markets, and the way people will persieve(sp) a free monthly online game...

for those who complain about the updates... how many games have you designed? sold? much less games of this size and caliber. I applaud the updates for showing that A: they are trying to listen to the community and B: they are trying to improve the game over time instead of just leaving it as is to be replaced by a sequel when it comes out. As for the Ascension... would you say the same if the Ascension previously gave out massive exp. bonus which Anet thought was too high, and then nerfed down to something reasonable? Would you say "Man, I got 200,000 exp for ascending but now it's only 50,000. It's not fair that I get an extra 150,000 exp... man! they should let those ascended to the quest again."

the problem with the updates is that they do not address the main problems with the game
namely:
-making PVP less like CounterStrike and more like a fantasy game
-putting in a non-crappy, non-obsolete trading system
-letting people customize their character appearance after they've created a character

it's not an assumption, it's just reality.
there may be some people who disagree with that reality, but there is a whole lot of people who do not.
if these were not major problems the game, then there wouldn't be tons and tons of people who recognize them as major problems
so to you i say you should take your own advice and not assume that just because a few people you talked to agree that those are not major problems; that that actually means they are not major problems

How you can even compare CS to GW is completely beyond me...
Just because "a whole lot of people" agree with that "reality", doesn't mean you're right. The strategic possibilities in GW are far greater in number than Counter-Strike.
I'm going to side with Kishin in that you've probably never, ever played CS before, and if you have/do, I'm betting against you being good. No offense, just an observation.

Where is the suggestion to improve the game?
This is not a "whine & complaint forum".
