It would seem as of now that all the elemental weaknesses known and executed in PvE are just self-destructive... As in each weakness is each strength. Tough to explain but can someone confirm this?

I tested this on 4 different enemy types.

Fire Imp
Ice Imp
Rockshot Devourer
Storm Rider

they're of fire, ice, earth, and air respectively and their weaknesses seem to be

Fire Imp dies to ice
Ice Imp dies to fire
Rockshot dies to air
Storm Rider dies to earth...

Is this true? Or am I testing goofy? What I mean is these enemies take a huge amount of what seems to be extra damage from a certain element and/or elemental weapon.

The fire and ice ones I have noticed the same thing for but I never really payed much attantion to the others. The level difference also has an affect on how much damage you do.

I know that I posted a thread about elemental damage, and someone replied saying that the elements have no weaknesses and it is not a "rock beats scissors" type of game.

As far as I can see haveing finished the game. every type of ele damage effects ALL mobs. It just effects some MORE then others. IE fire effects ice mobs more and fire ones less. Aslo the lvl of the mob and the lvl of the ele magic used makes a difference as well.

With my necro, against fire imps, I used deathly swarm. Now, Deathly Swarm does Cold damage. It took twice the normal amount of health from the fire imps. So not so much for the 4 elements as all damage types. Like some enemies take double damage when its dark damage, and that same enemy takes normal damage if its cold.
