FREEING the Prisoners - How Many Times?
orbeavhawk
Sometime ago I worked like H to help Prince R. go out and Free those Captives and then went on and killed the Fire Watchers etc. and on thru the Portal to NEXT adventure.......anyway.......much to my SURPRISE I dropped into where that Mission starts the other day and it did not credit me as completing that mission. You had to FREE them all to get to where I did the last time. Does someone here know WHY I have to FREE them again to hopefully be given credit for what I already did????

Did you actually finish the mission? Once you get to Nolani, you have to hold off the Charr while Rurik opens a door. This initiates a cutscene, which shows Rurik finding the mouthpiece to a horn. If you didn't see this, then you didn't finish.

YES - he opened the door and I remember this HUGE long Horn etc. and his Father "banished" him for talking back to him

But it should not say "Enter Mission" in the Players Box should it after one has completed that specific Mission? That is what I ran into and then I go over to "THE Man" and he tells me to meet up with Prince R.. I don't know what it is??

You may want to be carefull about repeating missions they just banned a bunch of people for redoing the acencion mission.

if it is not allowed why is it even possible.....

They didn't ban for redoing a mission, they banned for massively exploiting a bug. Get your facts straight before you go giving misinformation. They knowingly and willingly exploited a bug multiple times. And before you say they could have done it accidentally, no they couldn't have. The exploit required that you quit out of the mirror fight during the cutscene (alt-f4). You'ld get the xp but it wouldnt' register as you having ascended. You can do missions as many times as you want, you just don't get XP for each additional attempt.

they didn't ban people for redoing acension exactly, they banned peopled because they were closing the game down during the cutscene after killing their mirror, which then allowed them to do it again for the xp reward, and they only banned people how did this enough times to catch the attention of arena net, you can redo missions as much as you want. butdon't expect to get the 1,000 xp again you only get that once
lol dargon posted at the same time i did

Check your shield - sword from left: credit for finishing mission, sword from right: credit for finishing bonus.
Those swords will always stay - if they go away with a particular character of yours - something happened, but don't expect to lose the credit for the missions - it would be a bug.
You can redo the missions to get to that part of the map, to: minor farm, get EXP, if fighting in that area will still yield EXP-able monsters, or just have fun with the game.
