Hey a mildly successful air ele, wondering how I can improve my build further, as part of my guild I've been 100% air, but i've been wanting to expand into earth for added defensive purposes

So far..

Air 12+3
Energy Storage: 12+1
Earth: 3
(I'm part monk, but I barely use it, i'm willing to change to any other class however)
Air:
Elementalist Attunment
Air Attunement
Gale
Lightning Strike
Lightning Orb
Chain Lightning
Rez Signet/Enervating Charge(one or the other)
Glyph of Elemental Power

I want to become more "balanced" and am willing to redistribute my skillset around, and I have all of the ele/monk/mesmer skills in the game so far, so I'm a little overwhelmed as to which to put to become a bit more defensive/diversified. I'm too dependent on monks/warriors to help me out so I'm wondering maybe some wards...or something...

Any suggestions would be appreciated! First post btw

armor of earth would be a good start, if i remember correctly youll run a little slower, but youll usually be casting anyway, so its not a problem. You should also carry aura of restoration around in order to be a little more self-sufficient.

If you're going into earth, get rid of Gale and swap it with Ward vs Melee. It's AOE so it's the best protection for your team against warriors. Armor of earth is also pretty good as well for all-around defense
