Icon over people's heads missing

I mean the icon that shows number in party and the level and class. Is there a way to turn this off? I may have, as I can't see it anymore. I want to know how to turn it back on, but I can't find a key map that corresponds to that function.

as far as I know, its only visable in the "mission" towns, to make grouping easier.
and yes, I would like to turn it off also.
