Sword or Axe? and good hp mod

i have a lvl 19 w/mo that currently uses an axe and is considering using a sword. i tried a sword that i found 14-20 dmg and met the reqs. it was pretty good considering it was not even max dmg. especially bleeding. it seems like a good idea. and, i didnt customize the axe im using. also, the 14-20 dmg sword has a +27 hp mod. i know thats pretty good, but i dont know if i should sell it as it is or try to expert salvage it and try to get it out. there already is a prefix on it and the prefix lenghtens deep wound, and i know that isnt very good for sword unless using bleeding skill+gash. would appreciate any input on this. so recap:

The +27 life pommel is good, but that sword is not. You're not going to get very much if you sell the sword, however if you risk it and pull the pommel out, you can sell it for a lot more. It's a gamble, so weigh what you want vs what you need.

well, swords usually are considered the best for PVP, and axes are average in pvp and pve. i like swords because there is a much more dependable range of dmg, and the skills are better for swords (especially once you get hundred blades)

really, they are all the same, they all have some adventages and disaventages

they are the same ^^ but axes and hammers are much harder to be good with

My axe warrior rarely loses to sword ones, and never to hammer ones. Then again, I hardly do any serious pvp so who knows?

I'm not sure about sword skills being better; a combo of dismember, axe twist, axe rake/powerstrike/cyclone axe (depending on what I'm carrying with me at the moment) and then executioner striking them to oblivion has been working for me very well.
