When I take screenshots in this game, the screenshots turn out distorted or garbled. I sent this issue to NC Soft but no dice.

Mind you that this ONLY happens when Guild Wars saves the shot. If I was to minimize GW and CTRL-V into a program like MS Paint, the screenshot will be 100% complete with no distortion whatsoever.

Can someone help me out, or will I have to get a screenshot program to save them the right way?

I attached a shot to show you what it looks like.

I have almost the same problem, except that when i take a screenshot on guild wars, at first it looks ok, but when i try to send it to someone, or do anything to it, it becomes green .

I've tried to. Many times. BUT the NvIDIA installer says that it dosen't recognize my card and closes. The Readme notes specifically state that the 6200s with and without turbocache are supported.

My hard drive's fragmentation never goes above 1.05% so its not that.

I think it may be a bug in the very latest release of Nvidia drivers. Tried to install the drivers using the install option and it didn't recognise the TNT 2 Ultra I have in a test PC.

I just chose to install the Driver from the Hardware Manager, pointed it to the location of the unzipped Nvidia Files FOlder and Seemed to worked just as well, but without the Setup program.

Give that a try.

Nevermind about the drivers, I JUST NOW found out that the "6200A" is not on the list. Only the 6200 is listed. If anyone is wondering, the "6200A" is based on Nv44 and not the Nv43 like the "6200". Which I hear is a major difference.

So it seems that I will have to wait until the next driver release. OR install the Betas, which in THIS CASE I won't do. Guild Wars runs fine, Its just that the screenshots are messed up when it saves them.

Did you try the Driver Install via the Driver Update option in the Hardware Manager liked i mentioned earlier?

It should still install the Driver as it's windows that is installing the hardware and not Nvidia's Installer attempting to detect the card is there, as you already know it's there. GIve it a go, it should work fine.

Well, I got the new 77.72 drivers and it fixed my screenshot problem but I had a weird experience when I closed GW right after I logged off. IT BSODed me and kicked me out of windows. Something about a pagefault error. It said that it was a 1003 event error. The funny thing is, this is the first time I've encountered this problem since playing GW. And its been a while since first bought it.

It only happened once after playing for awhile. But I blame it all on Norton Antivirus because it was bitching right before I started playing.

Oh, and I ran Memtest for about an hour and all tests were 100%. I also ran other stress tests within windows and everything is stable. Its probabaly the drivers but only time will tell. I also read that the pagefile can also cause this when it cant expand correctly on the drive. ITs an easy fix but I will keep an eye out for anymore instability.

Did you run Driver Cleaner between driver installs. Get it from www.guru3d.com and try it again.

Also, I would suggest a complete uninstall of Nortons and reinstall. If not, get rid of it and go with Zone Alarm. It's a great suite and includes a very good firewall and virus software. I used to have Nortons, but Zone Alarm is so much better and is no where near as resource hungry as Nortons.

Hope this helps.

Well, I did run driver cleaner correctly after uninstalling. Now there is a new BSOD that blames it on the nv4_disp file. I looked that error up and found out that it was a long time NvIDIA driver problem.

I would hate to go back to the 76.44 drivers since I would be starting all over again with this problem and lose some performance points. But stability comes first I'm afraid.
