This is BS
I Am A Sasquatch
Ok. So, I was doing the Dragons Lair mission, really easy and got done pretty quick. After finishing the cut-scene there was the bonus which i had no intrest in doing because i just wanted to get to Draknors Forge. However some idiot in my group decided to take a dragons egg, thus forcing us to do the bonus vs a lvl 31 dragon. After about 20 mins of trying to kill it, i decided to leave hoping that i would automatically get to draknors forge because i had beat the regular mission. Nope. I got put back at the dragons lair mission op. Wow was I angry.
EDIT: Is there any way I can get to draknors forge without doing the mission again?

um.. not to piss you off some more... even if you died against the dragon... you wouldve been sent do droknars anyways.

You only finish the mission if you stay until you get to Droknar's forge. Even if she kills you, you still complete the mission, so there is no harm in trying.

oh well, ud prolly do that mission again anyway to cap skills
drowningfish999
Yah theres a skill for every class there, so you would probably end up going back at least 1 more time.

Well, the only other way to get to Droknar's Forge is to run through the path south of Beacon's Perch. It's quite difficult and even for a runner fully equipped/skilled for this, it takes 30 minutes (so it'll probably take you a couple tries before you get the hang of it). You can pay someone 3k to run it for you, but there's the possibility of getting scammed, etc, and it still takes 30 minutes or so (more if you can't find someone to run you).
You're probably better off doing Dragon's Lair again, however bring 2 signet of captures and capture the 2 elites off the 2 bosses of your profession.

Know what's even funnier? I was actually in the -group- with 'I am a Sasquatch', who -panicked- when the group declared that they were going to flippantly try a Glint assault. I -honestly- did my best to assure him that the mission would be completed with or without our success, but he decided to take off during the cinematic anyway.
Sort of funny - I was just browsing throught the forums and caught this one, and happened to remember his name. Always two sides to every story - 'Sasquatch' had been told beforehand that it would be alright.

i left after 20 minutes of trying to kill the thing. we werent going to win anyway and i couldnt convince 2 memebers of teh group to just stop trying, so it was kind of pointless
Reiden Argrock
um I seriously doubt you were trying to kill it for 20 minutes
cause if you had a necro in grp, it would of gone down quite fast, and if you didn't you would of gone down, unless you had like 4monks
glint hits way hard lol

you can beat glint pretty easily if you strategize.
One member of the team aggros glint. Then strafes back and forth in front of glint. when it dips it's head quickly strafe in the opposite direction. The fireball attack is so slow you easily dodge it this way. The rest of your team can tool up on it while you keep glint occupied. When glint attempts to heal have a ranger fire a disrupt arrow....the heal is SUPER slow. Should go down without any problem....your party will take minimal damage.

thats cool, I usually kill glint with henchies and maybe 1 or 2 other players though, so that strategy doesn't work to well

Yeah the first dragon is monk... The whole damn game is centered around monks.
In pre searing you can get all the monk skills near ascalon.
There is no running to the bottom end of the map to the "ascalon settlement" to find aidan.
The first dragon is monk for getting skills.
Most quest reward items are a focus item, for monks.
bbbbsssss
There is some other stuff too but thats just what annoys me the most. The game is so centered around monks.

you can get there another way by going south from Beacons Perch, to Camp Rankor then to Droknars, but it seemed you got owned un-lucky :P
