Question on called shots

I know this is a noob question but:

The other day for the first time I saw a warrior run off to attack and lo and behold I see a pop up saying " I am attacking Charr" so I asked him how he did that, and all i got was alot of insults. So I went to town and asked and got laughed out of Ascalon. I've searched the forums no luck.

Now I know theres the called shot key on my keyboard and when i press it nothing happens, Is this sending a message similiar to my teammates and I just don't see it? Or is this guy a really quick typist. I'm playing as a W/R.

If there is a special command please let me know so I can do this too.

You can hold shift and ctrl, and click the target( or targets name at top of screen).


Other people ( and yourself, if you didn't call it) can press T to automatically select that target if it is in range.

You can hold down control and hit the space bar. This will call the target and start you attacking. When you call a target, it will appear the same as if someone else called it. You use "T" to attack the called target.

You can also hit ctrl-shift-space, which will call the target but not attack it.

Not to sound dense,So by doing [ctrl] +[space bar] or [shift]+[ctrl]+[click] will send the notification to my teamates on what I'm attacking?

Correct. You'll know if you do it right because the message will come up at the bottom and there will be a red target thing next to your name.

FYI:

ctrl+skill = "I'm using XXX on XXX"
ctrl+click health/energy bar = "My health/energy is XX out of XX" this one is extremely useful.
ctrl+click conditions (icon in the top left corner, if any) = Tell others about what enchantments/hex you have on you.
ctrl+click exp bar = "I'm level XX and is XX% away from the next level"

There are other things that you can use this combination to tell others. I'll leave you to explore them yourself.

That seems to be not so bad of an idea
