I want my shield back or I want my money I am willing to show anyone proof he has already confessed that he only gave me 100k+ rune. Mods PM me Post,anything

Azure_Seraph also i do think the mods should settle desputes like this its like trading CD-keys for games all forums do it, If one person doesnt recieve what the other person said hed give them they ban them but since this is legit trading I have screenshots posts quotes, I think this can be taken the the offical GWs forums. Mods should atleast look into these matters. Im looking for advice or possibly a fix please do not comment if it is negative like haha u got scammed or such.

The thing is that you should never risk a double trade with someone you don't trust, thats pretty much like giving someone your bank account and asking them to take all the money out of it and give it back. I feel bad for, I know what it's like to be cheated, but unfortunely you made an error in trusting the player.

Wow he gives you 240k for this shield ? I found a better one a week ago... well... 10 more health.. I wonder what it could be worth.

obviously he didn't give the240k + super vig rune for this shield as promised. lesson learned from this trade, all trades should be dealt in single session unless you trust the other player.
nice shield, i have a -2 enchanted defender shield, but with +8 armor vs fire mod instead, perfect for killing hdyras
what exactly do you want the mods to do? they have no power over the other player to force him give back your shield or the rest of the money. it sucks, but there is nothing you can do in this case. you can report the anet for scamming but then this is more like trade disputes not scams.

Lilanthe thats imposible it must have had a modifaction on the health but Drowning I have evidence that the scammed me, is that not enuf to atleast get the mods to take some course of action. Its funny cause if this was real life I could take him to court this is what court is for in the real world just think of a simmilar situation in real life. I was once told that some people in this world are trustworthy and they are I have many reallife experinces with people being trustworthy. Now that i see the gamer world is different no one can be trusted, its sickens me, and the only reason they do it is cause they can sit behind there little computer screens and go eheheh i scammed a guy ahaahhaha. Im tell you this really sucks and its made me realize what trust over the internet is like.

they can ban his IP so that he will not scam someone else and this is not a trade despute the trade was made clearly Before the trade and On the forums and through PM Both of us agreed.

This is not a lesson ive been playing games for over 4 years and im sick of this Ive been scammed alot but not like this, this time i have proof to back me up and i will not let someone walk all over me like before.

well i think the mods here r separate from the gw ppl who control the ingame stuff. mods here are only forum stuff.
check GW guildwars.com site for an email and report it, if they can do anything about it. since you have evidence...
but again. it's really about the trust thing and he just felt like he could take advantage of your trust. i think someone posted a similar thread like this and others suggested, "always have them give you something of value to hold and you give it back while they give you the other half to complete total transaction." (i just worded it differently-not quoted)

If you catch him doing it numerous times, than you can definitely get him in trouble for something. But again, never do +100k trades with people unless your using some sort of item trade with the approx value.

You should have used this guy. I read your trade thread though and noticed you also were acting kinda shady. You set a buyout price but everytime it was met you extended your auction.

I'd be very wary of ever making a 'double-trade' Buyer beware, or in this case, seller beware.

The game has a 100k trade limit for a reason. You need to either cap your sales at 100k or ask for other items like ectoplasm, shards, or black dye that people can trade along with cash. I can't say I feel any sympathy for someone trying to skirt the in game boundries designed to prevent gouging and inflation like this.

I should have but I took precautions I agree we werent to clear about the price but we were through PM Ingame and on forums that was 240k + rune i have screenies thats all I need im willing to call GWs up for another 140k.

Secondly, I wish there were more details on when you pm'd him trying to sell. He did say that if you pm'd him close to the end of the auction his buyout bid did not count (which if you did that was wrong, a buyout is not a regular bid). If you didn't though he did scam you, but I mean what can you do about it. He could always tell arena that you two discussed in game right before the trade that he would trade you 100k plus superior vigor. Plus if arena spent too much time doing this it would cost them more which in the long run would cost us more real life money.

Arena Net will not give your character any money.
Why should they? You may feel you deserve the price this guy agreed on, but if you wanted it that badly, you would have covered yourself better- perhaps by taking a collateral item.
Even if you had every possible screenshot and documentation, it is not Arena Net's policy to refund victims of scams. For one, that would encourage others to say "I've been scammed" when they aren't, and try to get a free ride. For two, they aren't your mother.
Hotshot, you have two options. You can complain about how bad this is, and about what a scammer this other guy is. That's not likely to do much, other than make you angry and develop a bad reputation for yourself.
Or you can learn from this experience, be more prepared for future trades, and be a calmer wiser person. A person that has 100k gold and a superior vigor rune. That sounds pretty good to me.

I can sympathize with getting scammed, but there's nothing we can do, and this isn't the forum for this regardless.
