Alternatives to getting guild halls

In lions arch is a ferry catain that can take you to guild halls with your party of 1-6.This is where you buy your guild hall.

Since there is so many PvE out there it gets hard trying to get a guild hall doing HoH.So instead of doing that hard process of doing HoH, 5 other people in your guild have to go to the desired guild hall and can start a guild ceremony or something of the sort, depending on the levels of the people in your party the difficulty of the enemy.3 waves of different enemys depending on the guild hall try attacking the hall, if you manage to fight them off you get to keep it and have to pay 6k.

That's way too easy.

I wouldn't mind "more options" but "easier" options is a bad idea.

If everyone had Guild Halls, where would the pride be?

Im not talking about ascalon easy, im talking about 30 min to 1 hour to defeat a first wave with a priest, almost like the thirsty river mission.

Thirty minutes to an hour at Thirsty River!!? My group managed to do the final battle in 10.

Thirtsy River is hardly a good measuring point for a Guild Hall requirement- it's a quest that everyone is expected to beat eventually to Ascend.

Im not saying the enemys in thirsty river take that long, im saying that the enemys in the guild hall will take that long on the first wave.It will be arranged like the thirsty river (2nd battle) except they will be the ones attacking.Then their is still the 6k to pay.

If you're going to do this here is what I suggest:

Dead players may not be ressurected.

First wave = 200 level 3 devourers, you have 5 minutes to kill them.
Second wave = 200 level 8 devourers, you have 7 minutes to kill them.
Third wave = 150 level 13 Tengu warriors, you have 8 minutes to kill them.

~
Last wave = 100 level 28 Burning Titans, you have 45 minutes to kill them.

Of course, the monsters don't come all at once. The basic idea is you will need to have that many kills within the time limit. And yes, the Burning Titans will spawn --> Risen Ashen Lord --> Hand of Titan/Fist of Titan.

If you're going to give the PvE guilds an alternative to the intense HoH battles (have you seen those Koreans? They have mad skills) then a pansy wave-type battle isn't going to cut it.

6K? I know guys that lose 6k when they sneeze and never miss it. The price, when last I viewed it, for a sigil was 70k+ (and I've seen it for as high as 90k), so an hour and a half plus a measly 6k wouldn't even begin to come to par with what most guilds had to go through to get their halls.

Come up with a way to equal 70k (or raise that much yourself and move on), and then it might be feasable.

Thats the problem, it's to hard for PvE to get a guild hall, you shouldn't have to farm out 60 - 90k for a guild hall.Maybe my suggestion willn't work but they have to fix the guild hall somehow.

You need eight people online to even put a Guild Hall to use. So let's pretend your guild only has eight people (when in reality, a guild with 8 ppl on 24/7 would be very, very large indeed)

Sixty thousand to 70,000 split up between 8 people is not too bad. If you are level 20 and are able to put up a good fight in GvG (as in you're not a complete newcomer) then you can afford to shell out 8k for a sigil.

What pride, guild halls are easy to get, very easy. Even if your a horrible player, and your entire guild goes out for pizza every HoH you will get a sigil one day. Just play the game, anyone can get the 80kish for a guild hall. Sure it may take some time, but its still "ascalon easy."

If your guild is large enough to be considered a guild, then buying a guild hall shouldn't be a problem... get them to work together (things guilds should do)... or, do as my guild is doing(which you don't like... pvp), require No buying, because the guild hall is ONLY pvp, why do you even want a guild hall if your guild is only interested in pve... quite pointless yes? well, anyhow... if you just win it at the hoh during a nice, 5 pm or so... then you'll know your guild has the skill required to have a guild hall, hence the reason for winning a sigil... heh.


Nothing needs fixed.

I don't hate PvP, and everyone in my guild does a little PvP once in a while.

Better options for PvE is needed.

i agreed with perishiko... a guild shouldn't have any problem getting a guild hall at the moment. if u're into PvP, build a competetive team and earn the sigil. if u're into PvE trading some rare items or money for a sigil. There're always options.

Suppose sigils cost 100k..

If you have just ten people in your guild, that's 10k each. I think the system is fine as is.

I use a level 20 R/Mo and farming isn't really my thing, it usually takes me a week of doing missions to just get 6k (about 5 missions).I don't really want to charge any of my guild members 10k each other, makes me look bad.

Why should PvP not have to pay the money for a Sigll anyway while PvE have to go through weeks of farming to buy what the PvP people earned.

It should be possible to get a Sigll from PvE somehow, even if it is extremly hard.

Umm...cause guilds are mainly for PvP and Guild Halls themselves are used for PvP?

Guilds and Guild Halls can be defined for more than just PvP battle, there are indeed PvE guilds, Roleplaying guilds, and guilds that want a district of their own away from the crowds, that is secluded to only them, so they may have a guild meeting or the like.

An alternative would be fun for PvE only Guild Hall Aquisition, the waves of enemies idea is very nice, though the no ressurecting is rather... harsh, for a mass of that many enemies in total. That amount of time wouldn't be enough if you're guild is mostly made of casters or what not. Then again, everyone in the guild being able to take on the challenge at once would be entertaning, if you have 20 members, all twenty of your memebrs in the hall when the mission to get the hall starts, or, if they make it only eight allowed, then thats fine too.

Interesting idea.

I really like Zaku's idea for a crazy ass mission like that, however I would like to see a different reward than a guild hall since a guild pooling its money together to buy a sigil (which is what most PvE guilds do I think) is kind of cool. Makes people feel more a part of the guild and more responsible for the guild hall. It also instills trust among the members (that guy dished out his entire savings of 30 plat to contribute to our hall)

How can I visit the Guild Halls??? I've been to Lion's Arch and the only one I saw was the boat that takes me to compete! How can I visit the Halls??? Do I have to be ascended first? (I wasn't then but am now)
