Ok, your bow originally has that damage modifier, which is good. Weapons that have no prefixes on them with a damage modifier is good because it doesn't take anything up. When you payed for that eternal bow, it was well worth the price because you got the best modifier possible on a weapon, especially that of an eternal bow. Now thats clear, your slots are still open. You were originally planning to add a bow grip of marksmanship, which takes up your grip upgrade of your bow. After applying your upgrade, your bow should look like this:
(just an example)
Eternal Bow of Marksmanship
15-28 (req. 9 marksmanship)
+15% Damage (while health > 50%)
+1 Marksmanship (10% chance)
If you added a bow string upgrade to it, THEN it becomes fully upgraded. You have many possibilities for a string, whether it be a zealous, vampiric, elemental damage, sundering, etc. Whatever you choose, thats your second upgrade for that bow. After applying that it becomes this:
(final product example if you used.. say a ebon string upgrade)
Ebon Eternal Bow of Marksmanship
15-28 Earth Damage(req. 9 marksmanship)
+15% Damage (while health > 50%)
+1 Marksmanship (10% chance)
Since both the grip and string upgrades are taken, your bow is complete. After customizing, it becomes 35% damage, and the earth damage is added onto it, I suppose. Your bow right now, I'm assuming with no upgrades would only look like this:
Eternal Bow
15-28 Piercing Damage (req. 9 marksmanship)
+15% Damage (while health > 50%)
As for customizing your bow, thats up to your own risk. Customizing a bow will not only let you use the bow and no one else can use it, not even your other characters. It will make that bow worthless but in a sense, more worthwhile to you. If you leave it non-customized, you may sell it off anytime because anyone can use it. I hope this has helped you understand a bit..
I'm out.
