I do realize that constantly policing and politely warning people about not reading faqs and rules about posting can be somewhat...unnerving at times, so could this be an option to maybe alleviate some of that possible work stress?

I very recently answered a post..here...

Is there anyway possible that you could put some kind of message to this effect that a new person would see BEFORE they went into the different sections of the forum..say on the MAIN forum page itself near the top..to maybe address that issue and make it a bit more obvious yet cordial that they need to look at the various rules first?

Just a thought, though it may be problematic to implement that kind of a change to the main page itself; it may also help you to address the situation head-on instead of forcing you to consistently band-aid the influx. Might also make it easier to go about ending/deleting/removing/editing without having to constantly have people ask you to explain why something they did got nixed..et al.

As in something like this....(to quote the forum header before log-in)

"To start viewing threads, please choose from one of the selections below..... (now the little add-on)
making sure to read the rules in each section before posting."

simple, sweet, and makes the point you would like very politely and straight forward.
