Dyes, focus items, salvaging

I'm new to the game and to this forum. So here is a total noob question. What is the big deal about dyes? Other than customizing your stuff and selling them to others what good are they? I've found 3 different dyes in the game and am carrying them around, is it worth keeping them and collecting more?

Also all these focus items I am finding. They only work if you hold them, are they worth keeping too or salvaging them if not going to keep them? I suppose salvaging is the answer when you find stuff you don’t need or want?

Well salvaging can get pricey quick.. just figure out which items give you resources for your armor and salvage those and sell the rest..

Dye's are just for looks and to make your character look different than that guy with the same armor yours is just a diff color.. If you want to sell go to a dye trader and sell to her or try other people merchants will only give you 1gold and the dye trader will give you alot more.. like black dye sells to the dye trader for about 4K...
