Any guild wars guild or group of friends can get a channel, just ask on the teamspeak server of any (SA) or send an email if you are on at an odd time.
These channels will remain free and open for your group from now until 90 days after retail launch.
At that time, we will convert them to our normal channel policy.
Why the bait and switch?
When a game first comes up, people want to communicate and need time to organize. We support this and give you the free immediate channel setup.
Also during this time, Joe and Jane goof ball pops up and asks for a channel for their super great guild. Then never uses it. Or the lithium kicks in and they go back to dream land.
Either way - we want to help you and the Guild Wars gaming community. And ease any administrative burdens for us.
