Losing int the Academy

So, I'm wondering, what happens if you lose the first fight when you join the Academy? For that matter, what happens if the boss Grawl kills you? I'm 5-for-5 so far, with no deaths, and I'm just curious ...

oh and if you die with the grawl, you get ressurected at the shrine and try again until rurik dies or kills it :P
