we considered it a nice picture.
and dont blame me, I like glint.

Oh my god. We killed Glint. We bastards.

from left to right:
Glint, Recke Heils, Damian Soulkeeper, Mrs Jang Lee, Clera Wui Sheng, Ged Sho, Mr Quaxi, Miss Undercower, Daisetz T Ammon

Hope I didnt mix up the monk ladies.
And I have to say, all were friendly people, it was much fun, and the teamwork was excellent.

Who cares. Not to dimish your accomplishment or anything but Glint is pretty easy to kill even though IMHO she is harder than the final boss.

In my opinion the 6 Ether Seals boss is by farthest the hardest battle in the game, as there are 6 seals at first and trying to go all-in with a full meleé group is suicide

The hardest Non-Mission boss are the ones you fight against in Underworld. There are lots of level 28s and they even INCREASE in difficulty per chosen quest! But the rewards are worth it's sacrifice though.

Heck, THE WHOLE storyline is quite easy, when you know what you are doing.

you know, 7 members of the group never killed glint and are not tooo much into the mechanics of the game by now.

i protected the tank throught the fight, and afterwards the other members where cheering and asked for a group picture. and when i asked them, if i shall post it, with their names, they all went woooooot, so here it is.

and if all of you, that come rant, would read my first post, you would have noticed "We considered it a nice picture" and not "we are the l33t".

Everybody should know how to beat glint. thats the basics for going after everything that does more physical damage than a level 4 grawl.

the only thing that embarrases me is, that i didnt post this thread in "screenshots exposition" and i dont know how to report my own thread. ^^

cool. but a little question....: you said you think the final boss is easier than glint, which i dont quite understand.

glint is -at the time- so.... terribly stupid... which makes my way to kill her so easy. maybe i post it, so it will be changed, and we get a new challenge.

Contains Spoilers about Glint and the Endboss, people.

tank with the smallest (!) amount of maximum health takes egg, runs up to glint and positions him/herself right between glints teeth. Nobody else should now come into her melee range, as this would only complicate things.
before that i would cast on myself balthazars spirit. on the tank in that order: essence bond, protective bond, life bond (dunno if thats the one that redirects and reduces damage).
at prot.prayers 14 i dont loose energy with a hit the tank takes.
note that the damage that is reduced to 5% is further reduced by half.
that way, i take a negligible amount of damage by life bond.
next time i will take another enchantment to cover the tanks enchants because glint seldomly removes the top one and hinders me from apllying in i dunno 20secs or so. but normally thats not a problem. btw. i only found out the correct order of the enchants halfway during the battle yesterday.

i could do this for two tanks, but it would be stressful.
with a healer for the tank at my side, it only requires me to click "peace and harmony" every i dunno... 78 (?) seconds and to reapply that covering enchant once in a while.
bet the tank could heal himself with signet, since armor doesnt matter here anymore.

the rest of the team just hacks away from the distance, and only has to stop to dish out ele damage, when she does that certain spell, which, i guess, could be interrupted.

as for easiness, i would say i could get away with less than 10-20 clicks with my mouse (i wouldnt need the keyboard here) during the whole fight. that is AFTER i casted those enchants. not bragging, again, just to compare "easiness".
thinking about it: 6 rangers 1 warrior and me could -after all is set up- get away with about... i dunno.... 20-40 "single inputs" into the interface. maybe less. that sounds funny to me...

I think, the way i do it is an old trick, but i am happy i found this one out, it really moved my monk playing away from the "red bar game". now i get to see the fight again

Now for the last boss: he screwed us up pretty bad the first time (1 ranger, me and 6 npcs) because we were so excited, that we didnt note the minions he spawns, until he did it the two times
and yes, we killed him on the bloodstone all the time.
second try, easy game.

but what i want to say, what makes the endboss "harder" for me, is that you cannot quite as dirty abuse the AI as you can do it with glint. since there are more enemys and those switch targets. i think even the lich does it.
plus, if you dont take care, and run into the light (can you see the light brother) you find yourself limping around in lava. which isnt too bad. but its also not too funny.

so compared to "glint being spanked while she's chewing away on an single invincible warrior" i would say the lich is harder.

so please let me know, what makes you think, like you said. i really am interested, as i might learn something.

and yes i am new the game, in case you were wondering.
oh, and, emperor, you dont happen to play paintball, do you?

Why do people always, pull the "bash"-stick out on others for posting something like killing Glint?? Who gives a flip if you think Glint was easy or if you can take Glint down single-handly?!?!?! Most of you that say that probably haven't been in a group who've taken the Matriarch down.....despite your l33tness.

I say NICE JOB to Gescho & Co., regardless of how simplistic you may think your end strategy was....it was yours and you did it!! Kudos

If you touch one of the egg's before walking to the portal, Glint does not take to kindly with this, it activates the bonus mission, which is defeating her.

If you lose she give you a piece of her mind about taking on something out of your league and destiny to fullfill and that's why she raises your butt and doesn't leave you to rot.

Congratz on defeating her Glint is a major accomplishment and that is a great screenshot. There is a lot of things in this game that will be hard, or easy based on your skills and the group you were in. I beat my shadow (ascension) in under a min 1st time with ease but my GF had very hard time.

oh, and, emperor, you dont happen to play paintball, do you? I love paintballs. I have a dark angel.

I have fought the lich 3 times and noone every dropped below half health and the fight took like 5 minutes every time for me. I might just be lucky. Now on Glint (lvl 31 dragon, is a main character in the story) my teams died the first 2 times then we did 7 meteror showers and that killed her. I personally find all the missions and bosses easy but glint was the only one I died on after Yak's Bend (thats about when I got the hang of the game).

Since you're protection, why don't you just cast protective spirit and guardian on the main tank? Saves you all the other spells to cast and maintain.
It would also be nice if they brought along some defensive stances to absorb attacks also.

because maintaining those enchants (with peace and harmony) is MUCH LESS work against an enemy that doesnt rend 'em. they never stop.

protection bond-damage 5% of maxhealth- i lose 2 energy
essence bond-i gain 1 energy
life bond- damage (that is already only 5%) is halved
balthazars spirit - i gain 1 energy from life bond.

that way my energy stays up and i dont have to do anything.

at 500 health that person loses 12 or 13 each attack.
so basically you got 35 bites before you need to yawn out a bored "word of healing"

i like it laid back, thats all

come on, the people didnt bash too much
were all a nice and loving family around here.
except when it comes to dragons....

in case you didnt hear already: i want to beat glint alone with 4 henchies, now that is bragging
one day i tried 12 hours.... next time i can do it, tell ya.
back then with 4 henchies and me i got her down to 3mm health but when she started stripping the warrior all hell broke loose.
guess i need spell breaker or i interrupt her better.....
problem is, i am alone and the henchies are "stupid" so i got to:
protect the warrior
interrupt crystal hibernation (or whatsitsnameinenglish), because henchies dont stop attacking
and find a way she doesnt strip my tank
all at once

BUT I WILL KILL THAT PESKY LIZARD. muahahahahaah
NEXT TIME GLINT
NEXT TIME
muahahahaha

I agree. There is way too much of trying up downgrade what someone has done. A lot of this isn't easy for everyone especially if they haven't put in as many hours or played the beta. All the pve in this game is beatable and once you find out the formula for beating a certain part of the game it will seem easy. But to others it isn't easy. I am willing to bet that more people are impressed by a group killing glint than people who are not impressed.

Anomaly, by the time you are ready to face her, you know where she is
There is no way to go there without going through the desert missions. And there is no way to miss her when you are doing so.

And i gotta say, Glint is really one of the hardest mobs around. The Endboss is just laughable and a group rarely fails fighting the evil guy when it managed to get as far.

But Glint is a different story. And for all those people saying "ahahaha, Glint is soooo easy you noob!". It is just as true as people saying "i still farm 2 millions an hour olol!!!". I bet, and i am really sure. Every group that first fought Glint and had no person prepared especially for that fight or knowing Glints way of fighting... will just get their ass handed back to them in small black pieces of ash.
Sure if you go in there with the sole intend of killing her, it gets a piece of cake as you are prepared. But the fact is, most people are not prepared for that huge damage she does in the first time.

So, grats on killing Glint. That is really something to feel happy about. My guild did it as well and it was kinda hard... we really felt like we had done something afterwards. We had fun. And thats what is important in the game. Fun.

Yeah, the first time we came there we didn't even make a dent. I went back yesterday. 7 prepared people and a noob. And guess what the bloody noob does after she stops yapping?

Go on.
