only when useing attack skill unless otherwise noted, as in air magic, and no, all attacks will have armor pen, not jsut he strength one

Strength only kicks in when you are dealing out a physical Attack. that means when you hit someone with your Axe/Sword/Hammer. Not when you cast Flare (if you're an elementalist secondary) or use Illusionary Weaponry (if you're a mesmer secondary). This is for all physical attacks, regardless of their being strength skills or not. If you use a skill that gives you Armor Pen, the two stack, like for Penetrating Blow, which gives you 20% pen, I'd actually be ignoring 32% of the armor on the location I hit with that strike. If you stack that with a secondary class skill that reduces armor, like Weaken Armor, the effects are even more apparent.
And it's a percent, so you'd ignore (how ever many points you have in strength)% of the armor on the location you strike.

thx for quick reply
but why people said Power Strike (Strength Melee Attk) is more more handy than all other weapon attack ?
i heard of the Damage Mathematic Calculation behind (SonOfRah in GWOnline explained very clearly and deeply)
the eqt is like
Power Strike's extra dmg is applied BEFORE dmg modification (double dmg ? half Dmg ?)
but Weapon Attk's extra attk is applied AFTER dmg Modification

I'm not quite sure what you just said in your post, could you rephrase?

i assume u all know the Game Mechanics (Guru has this article)
The following info is from SonOfRath (i think we could trust his testing result)
take Pure Strike and Power Strike as example
assume they both +22 dmg for convinence
and u do 20 base dmg by ur weapon
if u are able to do Double Dmg (affected by Armour Level, Penetration, Weapon, Strength Attrb Level)
then Power Strike do (20 + 22) * 200% = 84
Pure Strike do (20 * 200%) + 22 = 62
So my question is Strength Armour Penetration apply only on Power Strike ?

Ah, this I can answer. No. Strength always effects all your physical attack skills.
My bad, I went and looked at what my actual stats said, and it specifically states "attack skills" so your normal attacks won't be any more spiffy.

can anyone define what is physical damage.. Does a fire sword do fire dmg (which should be elemental dmg right?) or physical dmg?
Thus strenght does not affect the dmg i do if i use a fire sword?

Agent: a firey sword would do elemental, not physical, damage.
Strength only kicks in when you use an attack skill, like final blow, or power strike. In which case, it always kicks in, since you have to be weild a weapon (elemental damage or not) to use an attack skill.
