That's not called perspective it's FORCED perspective.
It's where you use the angle and distance to make things look relatively larger/smaller.
It was used in LotR to make hobbits look the right size.

If you look carefully, and consider the perspective, you'll realise that in the super tall one the camera is actually further away.

Looks to me like they either changed the area or you just moved the camera around to give an illusion using perspective. The bigger shot actually looks like the camera is closer.

No it doesn't.
Look at the ground, you can see more of it in the huge one.

The only explanation is Photoshop. I've never come across any superhuge players before, either before or after ascension. My warrior is pretty much the largest I can get him, and everyone else is either smaller or the same size. Good p-chop skills though.

The truth is, it's not possible anymore, but when I took that screenshot, you could walk all the way up and into the Mesa before you'd done the Ascention quests. There was an invisible ramp all the way up.
I was standing on that ramp and then moved the camera so it looked like my feet were on the land and not 3m above the water like they really were.
So the camera was very close to my character, yet still far away from the land
