Hi everyone, -another question
As of now, I'm trying to decide if i want to go Monk primary or elemertralist primary. I want to be the main healer, with a few spells that have cool visual effects, (hence elementralist) I'm more of a pve player, so that explains why i wan't cool visual effects
Anyways, your probably thinking, "Well if you want to be a main healer, then just be a monk moron" But after looking at the monk's armor, they look so terrible. Here's where I stand:
Primary El/mo pros
-better looking armor
-primary attribute will be a big help (energy storage)
-If i did some pvp, i won't be the first taken down because of being a primary elementralist
Primary mo/el pros
-I can say i'm a "true" "pure" healer
So what I'm asking is for a link or screenshots of armor of monks, so I can see what other kinds there are.
Also, after playing with the character builder for awhile, I've always put divine favor points to 10+. But I realized, everytime I put spells in my set, none of them were from divine favor, hence there's no need to put any points in it. Please clarify this to me! Does divine favor give a healing bonus to all healing spells, or just the ones from divine favor?
Thanks a lot!

And you think the elementalist armor looks better than the monk's? Interesting. Try out both and see which one you like playing more.

The jist of it is:
ElMo
-You can cast many, many low-powered healing spells.
MoEl
-You can cast fewer, more potent healing spells.
You can go into deep specifics with this but that's the only huge difference if you're going to go into PvE.
Edit: Divine Favor adds more points of healing to every healing spell you do.
Using the table linked above--with Healing Prayers and Divine Favor at, say, level 10, Orison of Healing heals for 91 points. With just Healing Prayers at 10, that same spell would heal only 59. (So with a MoEl you would get that 91, while the ElMo would get 59 but the ability to cast it more often with the high energy level.)

Thanks for the quick responses!
The thing is, I haven't played yet. From what I've seen, (from random screenshots, and the little guide that comes with the pre-order box set) Monk's armor looks a little boring. That's why I'm asking for screenshots or links to see more armor sets.

This one is from awhile back, if I remember right this is the Censor's set, which is similar to Judge's armor.

Keep in mind that as the game is still in beta there are good chances of more options come release.

Orison of healing at max healing and max DF would heal for 98 for about 15% of your energy. an elmo would heal for 60 for about 7% of your energy, so you would need to cast orison twice to be more effective. if you happen to be playing competitive pvp, they will catch on to you as a healer fairly quickly even if you were an el primary.
as an el primary, you do get prettier armor, (as long as you play female of course). and you have the option of playing a nuker with support heals, or a meager healer with decent energy management. as a monk primary, you have the coice of being a healer monk, a protection monk (which are somewhat rare), or a smiter monk (not particularly an easy role to play). imo, monk armors tend to dye better but female eles are easier on the eyes..

I think the Monk's armor looks better. The elementalist has armor much like the other professions, but the monk has actual clothes, he has a tattoo on his head, different styles for his armor as well. My main character is a Mo/R, so I don't need the best armor in the game, I shoot from afar with a bow or wand or staff and simultaneously heal teammates.
