Runes...How do we get the best out of them?

Hey all...I'm new here. My main character so far is a lvl 18 Ele/Mo. I just salvaged 2 runes. One minor for Elementalist's fire magic, the other minor for monk's smiting prayers.

My questions for runes are the following:
1) Do runes stack? (Say I bought an elementalist minor rune for fire magic and put it on my flame's eye, this brings up my fire magic by 1. If I put 4 more runes, 1 on each of my armor, does that increase my fire magic by another 4? So a total of +5 on fire magic)
All the experienced players I've met so far can't answer the above question, since they don't want to take the risk of purchasing runes (pretty expensive) and trying them out to see if they stack or not.
2) If you find runes that are usable to your class, which is better? Use it for yourself or sell it for gold?
3) 2 new runes came out that improves xp. 1 believe triples your exp till you die, the other doubles your exp for 10 minutes. Are they worth buying?

Correct me if I'm wrong in stating anything in the above questions. I wish to gain more knowledge by discussing various topics with you gw fans. Also, I'm open to suggestions/recommendations from all gw fans.

runes dont stack.

and you can only add runes to yoru armor that are for your primary proffession. no runes can be used on armor for secondary proffession.

max for a skill is +4, usually hat + supr. rune

3) i guess those are Scrolls, not Runes. Useful while you want to get refund points for your character, although I haven't tried them.

1) Runes don't stack. I know, it sucks considering Superior runes cost you 75 health and Superior vigor only gives you 50.

2)As for which is better, depends what you're doing with your class. I know for me, with my Warrior, I use a sword. So a Sup Axe or Sup Hammer rune I would sell.

3)Those aren't runes, they're scrolls. One doubles XP for 10 minutes. Only usefull for noob characters in levelling fast. The other triples XP as long as you kill an enemy within every 30 seconds. This is also good for noob characters. Other than that, I just sell em.

A little rune tip, use one superior and one superior vigor to coutner the health loss. Dont use too many superior runes, or enemies are going to kill you in one hit. Also, the max level in any skill is 16 - 12, plus 1 for hat, plus 3 for Sup rune. Play it right, play it well. Have fun fellas.

Yeah, to use minor runes... I dunno whats worse, their effect or the 10g you get from the merchant for selling them. Major and superior runes cause health loss and to offset this you need like 50plat otherwise you can use a minor vigor to salvage like 20 health. So if this hasn't depressed you too much these are the steps I give my guildies:

1. Salvage or Purchase Rune
2. Apply rune to your best armor
3. Before your next armor upgrade, purchase an expert salvage kit
4. Upon crafting your new armor double click the expert salvage kit
5. Say a silent prayer to Dwayna
6. Click on old 'Runed' armor and hope Dwayna will return your rune
7. Apply salvaged rune to new armor
8. Rinse and Repeat

Well, I know you can get to at least 19 effective skill. I dunno if you can get higher.

+1 staff (only 20% of the time though)

I wonder how much a lightning orb does at skill 19

Well of course using items, but I meant permanently. I thought that would have been self evident.
