Mabey im just stupid, but I dont get what the big deal is with killing Glint, can someone explain why its so cool to kill one of the main characters in the story line?

...because it's a bonus and worth 1000xp and a skill point?....

glint's a main character?

Because she's the only level 31 character I've seen in the game, and she's extremely hard to beat. The team I used was suprisingly effective though:

3 Monks, 1 Player, 2 Hench (Alessia and Lina)
2 Rangers (both players)
3 Warriors (Myself and two other players)
1 Mesmer

Believe it or not, Glint didn't stand a chance. Between the monks healing the warriors like mad, and my finding out a little safety glitch, we won. When a warrior stands next to Glint attacking for too long, you'll notice a dmg skill appear called Jagged Skin (or something like that). It does about 100 dmg. Instead of standing there like a stupid fool trying to take on a dragon, what you do is run out, run back in, use skill for attack (regular attacks too weak anyways). Once you hit her, run out again. If you and the other warriors time it right, you can constantly keep her switching targets, and rarely doing enough dmg to one player to kill him. The mesmer kept casting life draining spells, and the Warriors kept bleeding her, as well as the Rangers. Apply poison for rangers is VERY effective here. Basically, it's not so much that we killed Glint in combat, so much as we bled her out and poisoned her to death.

That was the first time I ever killed her, and we didn't even have any Nukers with us. LOL.

Why is the bonus the kill her, i though she was a good character, i think iv missed something here.

are there any skills to capture from her?

lol hey you mentiond you used 9 character 3monks+2 rangers+ 3wariors + 1 mesmer = 9. well anyways yeah gilnt is ok but not imposible to kill. i had all hencmen when i fought her for the hack of it they got her healht down to halve. ony method you can do is for someone to caarry an egg and roun around her in circles shell get confuzed and wont target anyone or onepersone probably egg carrier. a

You can actually just stand at one point with the egg and dodge her main attacks using sidesteps. Just watch the direction where the projectiles are flying to and walk in the opposite direction. I kept her busy by doing that for like 20 minutes last time i was there, but my team didn't do enough damage to get her below around 1/3 health, so we finally just decided to get ourself killed

The reason you fight her is because someone picks up one of her eggs. So of course, she gets beeped and tries to kill you. So when you kill her (which is pretty hard considering) your merely defending your own lives.

(She comes back later in the story wether you killed her or not.) Although her images is kinda cloudy like a ghost.

So far, killing the main characters has been the most satisfying thing in the game.

Don't worry, you didn't kill her. You just put her to sleep. She will be back on her feet talking to you again next time you visit her as if nothing happens.

You just need to interrupt her regeneration skill (have forgotten the name). If she can cast it, she gets a health regeneration for a very long time, so it's nearly impossible to beat her.

If you interrupt it, she has no way of healing herself.

Of course, that doesn't make it easy to beat, but she can only attack one guy, so she is pretty beatable then. Just remember to interrupt that healing skill.
