"Price of Steel"-Quest, Bug or Purpose ?!

For the last part of this quest, one has to collect 5 ruined White Mantle armors back to Gareth Quickblade.

The problem is, when doing this in a party, the White Mantle only drop a few for the whole party, meaning that we had to go back and forth about five to 6 times to get 5 white mantle armors which makes it extremely annoying.

I know that in the "Orrian Excavation" (spelling?) You have to return 4 stones or something along the line and the stone elemental drop about a hundred for each player more than enough to pick up.

Yeah it really bites trying to do that quest with a group

I did this one with only henchies and it took me two tries. Actually, the first trip, I was with PCs, three of whom dropped out before the end. I ran it again with only henches and all of the White Mantle dropped armor. Of course, one would have to be a high enough level to not rely heavily on their henchmen...

Yea I had done it with henchis and had to go back twice. When I made it back to town this person was gettina group together for it. I whispered him letting him know you had to do it more than once. They told me that you didn't cause he just did it with 6 people and they got enough in 1 run. I knew this wasn't possible, and if he had already completed it why is he doing it again? So I ignored him and went on my merry way.

I did this quest with henchmen and it only took me one try without any problems.

I did this twice with henchies. First time only 4 ruined armors dropped, so had to do it again. btw, I posted before you end up at Ventari's refuge just doing quests from Druid's Overlook. Anyone else notice this? Or has this always been the case that I don't remember.

I skipped two missions, The Wilds and Bloodstone Fen, with my last character the necro because of this.

In any case, he's level 20 and ascended.

yeah, when I did the quest to, it only dropped 4 of the 5, fifth was a mantle badge or something like that, I reported it as a bug since you shouldn't have to do a quest multiple times to beat it, unless you screw up horribly
