Both worth keeping?
Casonetto
Are both of these characters worth keeping and can they be used for different roles?
Mes/Ele = fc, fire, inspiration
Mes/Mo = fc, smiting, illusion

Hmm to tell the truth I do not like any of those two.Mesmers are hard with no attack spells and monks don't have many powerful ones too so you would have to find a real party to do anything and an Mesmer Elementalist is even harder because you will have no hp and you need a party infront and mesmers do not support eles.None of their skills mix well.(Sorry if I sound rude)
Casonetto
That's ok.

Symbol of Wrath + Bane Signet + Signet of Judgement {Elite} + Balthazar's Aura
Combinate that with echo (for symbol of warth = got 30 secs recharge) Mantra of Signets (for bane signet + signet of jugment) and you have a hardcore damge output. sure on the other hand you could play a monk primary then but its quit a lie to play monk that dont heal after all
And also Zealot's Fire + fast casted healspells can do a lot of damge..

Well Id say the biggest question is do you enjoy playing them. If so they are worth it.
Some consider Mesmer primary to be a good attribute in some Tombs groups as an anti caster, but on the other hand you still get most of the best Mesmer skills having them as the secondary. As long as you know your role and the party your with knows what your role is most classes can be usefull.

I like the Mesmer/Monk A LOT more than I used to. He's level 8, when can I get those skills you mentioned?
Also, what can I do with a Mes/Ele or is it really that bad? What about Mes/Nec?

No class combo is "bad"
I don't use a single Elementalist spell on my Mes/El - I just don't need to. I do fine with suppression, and if I were in the middle of casting a firestrom when I need to be interrupting it'd be bad. I find it hard to do too many things at once - for example, if I am a monk I stick to things involving the players, as I find it too hard to be using offensive spells, picking targets and still watching for conditions/hexes health levels.
Likewise, though my Shatter Hex does great damage with my domination mesmer I am thinking of dropping it - I get far too busy shutting down casters and interrupting stuff to be watching for hexes. Maybe it just takes practice, but so far I am finding it difficult to both concentrate hard enough to take out a fast spell AND to watch for a hex, check to see if the player is close enough to a mob to make it worth the shatter and activate it - I'll miss a spell in that time, which is an interrupt missed and thus they have gotten one more spell off than I want them to use.
My advice would be to stick to one of the two - either offense/targetting opponents or defense/watching lifebars. Trying to mix the two gets very tough.

Aye this game is all about fun.. If you have fun with your character then that should be your answer.. Its how you play the game that counts..

Would an Elementalist/Mesmer with the Blasty McBlasterson setup be better for pvp than a Mesmer/Elementalist?
Holywar
i have an Mens/Necro that i think combine the domination/Curses line very very well. i'm still only near the begining of the game, but fast & cheap hexes seem to combine very well with soul barbs, and the necro curses.
Soul Barbs- Backfire or Empathy (this is PvE of course) plus insidious parisite ect ect ect ect ... once mob is near death drop a shatter hex to finish him off.
I'm pretty low level, and i refuse to look at the higher level skills until i get close to the end of the game (spoils the fun of finding a cool skill me thinks), but i think, at least at this stage they play very well together.
Opinions on this?

However, it depends on how you want to play. Never forget the advantage that runes play to your build. And you can only put runes of your primary profession on your armor.
Cheers.

Damn, now I don't know if I like Me/Mo or Me/Nec better. Time will tell I guess, right now I am enjoying the Me/Mo.
