I'm not really a fan of any of this Vamp Aura items and weapons... I think you can't really gain health back fast enough during heavy combat.

Practically, a 2:1 vampiric hilt would not allow you to balance out your health loss. The other advantage to vampiric weapons is that it adds (in this case) 2 damage that ignores armor. That negates a major absorption rune, so maybe it still has some use. Like RTSFirebat, I don't really use vampiric weapons to really understand how to utilize them, but those are just some thoughts.
