A Cure For Ralena - Ranger Nente very silent

Playing as my lvl8Mo/Me doing the quest "A Cure For Ralena", when I got to Ranger Nente - the icon pops up in the box to speak with him, I click the "cure for ralena" box and he just stands there still, no response.
I'll keep trying to do it (the rewards are skills I want) but if I could get some feedback that'll be great.

wont a ranger (nente) only give Ranger skills?

If it's a quest that is given to just go and speak to the Ranger, then not necessarily. There are a few quests out there, that are not related to the characters you play with, but are part of the quest.

It would help if the OP could give a little more detail on where he gets the quest from, unless someone here actually knows what they are talking about.

I haven't heard of that one, but then I haven't finished the game yet either.

You get the quest from the Mesmer in Sardalec Sanitaruim(spelling?) He tell's you to go and get a mossy rock from the boss stone elemental in a cave not to far away ot the NE. I just did it a day ago with my new W/Me I got the rock, he then tell's you to go and talk to Ranger Nente, than the ranger sent me back to the mesmer in Sanitarium who gave me the exp. but I still had the cure in my box. I later threw it out, cause neither Nente or the mesmer wanted to talk to me anymore. Kinda weird

You must have the mossy rock in your inventory when you speak with Nente after finishing the first part of the quest given to you by the mesmer.

I had tossed the rock and went back later and saw the ! over Nente's head, but she wouldn't say anything. I abandoned the quest, got the rock back and was able to finish the quest with the rock in my inventory.
