Is any of you running GW on a laptop or tried to?
If so, what specs are sufficient for it to run decently?

I can run mine ok on a P4 2.6ghz, 512mb, and ATI Mobility 9000 64mb.

To check on the full spec of the machine, it's a Sony PCG-GRV616S.

It's a good overall laptop and have played quite a few intense games including Doom3.

I would recommend more than 512mb of ram though, which is the reason I game mostly on my Desktop, as I find a lack of Ram and Windows XP don't make a good gaming combination.

Mine runs fine on 1.6ghz centrino, 512mb ram and "unsupported" Intel Extreme graphics card. Of course im forced to play on the lowest graphical settings [not because my pc cant run it, but because my graphics card flips out when i increase the details [textures screw up, but game still runs though] ].

512mB ram

Don't ask. I can actually go out to lunch while loading instances, but I manage.

Nice graphic? Heck no.
Extreme lag? You bet.
Over heating? Not yet.

Runs decently I guess, much better than FFXI anyway... About 15 - 40 FPS on 800x600 Full Screen and the same with 1024x768 Windowed.

ATI Raedon 9600 mobility 128mb

I run at 1280x1024, with almost everything turned up other than shadows. I get a wonderful frame rate, no studder.

Gateway 7422gx
AMD 64bit 3400+ (2.2 or 2.4ghz)
1GB Ram
1MB LII cache
ATI 9550 64mb graphics
XP Pro

very high settings - no lag, quick loads

Would be AWESOME!!!, but is just Great, as the graphics will be extremely difficult to upgrade (if at all) and 64 is OK now, but not in the future of gaming

I play on a Dell Latitude, which is pretty powerful because I bought it to run Avid, the video editing program. I play GW on it through a modem, the only weak link in the system.

Shared Video cards eat off your RAM when it has to.
So it sucks having shared 64 unless you have 1+GB ram

Thanks guys, this has been very useful.

I've been checking some shops and what I found mostly is:

Centrino 1.6Mhz - 512 (to 1gb) RAM - 60/80Gb HD
with a choice of the following video cards: ATI X300/x600 (64mb/128mb) or GeForce 6200 or ATI Radeon 9000 or 9200

From what I read above this might work fine, but which card is best? X600?
Would a fast card work at its best with a centrino 1.6Mhz?

Last question: LG or VAIO?

512 MB
1.3 GHZ
Intel Extreme Graphic cards-64 MB

Will the game work on low settings or rather will i be able to play the game withiout having problems?

I've used it on my laptop once or twice.

1Ghz P3
256MB RAM
Geforce2Go

At the lowest settings it was playable.

Generally, any modern laptop with a Geforce or Radeon should run it with no problems.
