Question about bow types

My ranger currently has a max damage long bow, shadow bow, and half moon. I've seen people carrying a bow that has feathers on it.... IIRC one on either side just above and below the grip..... it sorta looks like a dead bow, but I'm pretty sure it's something else. Anyone know what type of bow this is?

The feathers may be lightning strands.

I just did some searching for a picture of a storm bow, and in the process I found this:

I believe that's an alternate model for the longbow item.
I've found lots of longbows like that and also the flatbow looking ones.
Doesn't seem to be a trend as to how they drop, my guess is that it's randomly determined at drop.
