Guild Banks and Loans System
gabby2600
A guild bank would be nice. A long with a good implimentable loans system.
this means people with little or no cash have access to money but they have to pay it back with intersest. if they fail to make a payment, then mercents are obliged to over charge the player. Or when you collect gold in quests the loan payment is deducted first.
Then impliment expensive things for guild halls. The loans would giver every guild access to them also it would create a very large gold sink.
Yes theoretically you could take out a very large loan and buy the best things and never PvE. So you have to make the loans per player account, and in someway limit the players fame if they fail to make a loan payment.
My ideas are by no means perfect, but a banking system with some form of loan might work.
Also the banks could offer equipment insurance, so if you accedentaly sell or salvage your equipment then the insurance will cover you to get it back. The scale of insurance payments could vary dependant on the equipment it's upgrades and runes. It would have to be done in such a way that you can only claim the insurance within a set period, or you have to keep the raw materials you salvaged. Again a way would need to be worked out to stop people selling gold weapons and then getting them back under insurance. Maybe insurance could just be a system to stop you selling your stuff unless you go to the broker and remove the policy. I know I would pay 500gp per good item to stop me accedentaly salvaging it or selling it.
Though these arn't perfect ideas it's something to think about.

Good idea although I must say I'd prefer some other things like better trading and a offline message system before they worried about this.

We have concepts on the books already sent to the Devos for consideration. though they like many of them, they are still a long ways from implamentation...
Guild Treasury was one of the ones they showed some interest in, along with the Armory, and the Guild Crafter... They would make for good gold sinks as well...
The treasury concept I have seen is the one where the entire guild can put gold towards a new guild purchase. for "upgrades" like the armory, crafter, ect... There are a few posts for it... I keep them consolidated in the one I know the devos looked at already so they can reference it later...

Ooo!! Can there be bank robberies?
Snipe Kan
lol bank robberies would probably not be a feature added with this.. even tho it would be an interesting part the game. same with pick pocketing and those type of things
Mr_Intangible
I would try a bank robbery. I would just hope the character protecting the bank wasnt a korean : (.

LMMFAO not racsits or anything <--- hasent the game been out there longer tho? most games are in korea/japan way before america gets it thats mostly why they are more experianced then us. I dont think a game bank is a great idea, seems like it could be exploited pretty easily.

The bank idea wouldn't be such a bad idea. It's just that.. lvl 99 guard with a max dmg sword >,< scary feller. Not only that, but if you have a bank in the GH there might be some glitches and such. The storage acts almost just like a bank. It stores your money, desposit and withdrawel. And if the bank was to loan out money like "Check 'n the Cash" there would be a BIG financial problem. Lets say, a lvl 5 W/N comes walking along, in post-sear ascalon arena with FoW armor. Fully set and such. Took out a loan for 120k, it wouldn't be fair for the game and the other players. If that were to happen, we might as well just all get loans and get the best armor in the game without a care in the world. It would probably just make GW not compedative anymore, or even worse... less entertaining.
