A guild bank would be nice. A long with a good implimentable loans system.
this means people with little or no cash have access to money but they have to pay it back with intersest. if they fail to make a payment, then mercents are obliged to over charge the player. Or when you collect gold in quests the loan payment is deducted first.
Then impliment expensive things for guild halls. The loans would giver every guild access to them also it would create a very large gold sink.
Yes theoretically you could take out a very large loan and buy the best things and never PvE. So you have to make the loans per player account, and in someway limit the players fame if they fail to make a loan payment.
My ideas are by no means perfect, but a banking system with some form of loan might work.
Also the banks could offer equipment insurance, so if you accedentaly sell or salvage your equipment then the insurance will cover you to get it back. The scale of insurance payments could vary dependant on the equipment it's upgrades and runes. It would have to be done in such a way that you can only claim the insurance within a set period, or you have to keep the raw materials you salvaged. Again a way would need to be worked out to stop people selling gold weapons and then getting them back under insurance. Maybe insurance could just be a system to stop you selling your stuff unless you go to the broker and remove the policy. I know I would pay 500gp per good item to stop me accedentaly salvaging it or selling it.
Though these arn't perfect ideas it's something to think about.
