A lot of people I have teamed up with in the past seem to be able to run around whilst typing instructions / comments etc in the chat boxes. How do they manage to do this - are they just very proficient with the keyboard or are they using some sort of voice interpretation software which converts their speech to text? If the latter, what is it that they are using?
Whenever I try to type speech whilst playing I lose control of where my character is going and invariably get separated from my party.
P.S. For clarification I'm not talking about audible chat.
Thanks

It takes some practice I guess.
A simple method to getting your chat out in time would be to use the shift + 3 command to get into the team channel, and just type away, then enter. Of course being a fast typer helps as well. ^.^

I was wondering the same thing myself. I see people write novels while in the middle of a battle. I am lucky to get one mis-spelled word out in a battle! I am a very fast typer too. I guess it just takes practice doing it. Thank goodness for teamspeak!!!

This is my solution:
If you double tap W (or whatever you've bound to the forward key) your char will keep running until you hit back (s). While your char is running hit enter and type away. While your typing you can use the mouse with right button held down to steer your char but its easier if your travelling in a straight line
Im still a bit of a newb so there may be better ways...

Sticking to a teammate helps as well.
Also, typing 80+ words a minute doesn’t hurt either.

If you haven't changed anything, r makes you run forward continually. Right clicking can move him in different directions while in this mode. Careful though, don't want your monk runnning into a mob in the middle of a sentence. Might end up with a message like "We should go lesssssssssssssssft, cause it's easier than if we do that wwwwwwwwwwww loopedy loop thing."
