W/E what weapon?

ok, so I have been haveing a lot of fun with my W/E. he is air specced and I am really loving the knockdown of the air abilities (gale, lighting touch); I am still trying to figure out what kind of weapon I want to use. I don't think I should use hammer b/c I already have the knockdown from the air skills. So I think it is between Axe and Sword--currently I am leaning toward Axe b/c Sword involves a lot more skills that involve mana, and since warriors are lacking in that category I kinda wanted to avoid it. Also I think that the added mana from a focus item is more helpfull then a shield atm, and that is also another reason why I don't think hammer is a good choice.

Could you please help me with this build? Give me any suggestion please ^_^.

Well, my character is uses sword and I'm not having a problem with mana. I too am finding my focus item better than a shield, and much cheaper too. >.< I'm using earth, armor of earth and ward against melee is doing good. Although, I haven't looked much at axe skills. :-/

Axe and sword have better synergy with Conjure Lightning (if you're using it) than hammers do as they are both faster weapons than hammers.

I agree with you about axe - more adrenal skills is a useful trait, and cyclone axe (with conjure) is a good way to do damage to a group of enemies near you. However, axe skills tend to stack in a weird way, in that you frequently need the target to be suffering from a deep wound (typically via dismember - 7 adren) to be able to use several other skills. This conditionality is more a feature of axe than it is of sword skills, so sword use can be easier, especially given the adrenaline cost of dismember.

As the maximum of the damage range of an axe is higher than a sword, the damage inflicted by a critical hit will be higher. There's also disrupting chop, which blacks out any skill that it interrupts for a short while.

For sword, on the other hand, there's a cripple effect that can be used at any time without preconditions (hamstring) and an interrupt that can also be used at will (energy-based).

However, there is one sword which is 1 point shy of max damage at 15-21, I think, which has a modifier of +5 energy, but doesn't have the +15% damage from stance kind of modifiers. You can have this made for you for 2k plus some steel at the Henge of Denravi. You can always add a hilt etc, but the damage will always be a little low...

For specific suggestions, what kind of thing will your warrior be doing? Is he a damage dealer, an incapacitater who inflicts lots of conditions, a tank?

well, I was thinking that I would constantly be able to keep my target off its feet (i.e. the healer or caster of the enemies).

Axe is better than sword for you, since it can output more conditions or damage off of adrenaline alone. Hamstring is tempting, but I doubt you'll have 10 mana lying around to use it. I'd take a good axe with 15-20% enchant on it and take some adrenal skills.

Last minute suggestions?

Try them both out - that's what refund points are for. That way you can see for yourself which one fits your play style better.
