I'm not sure what kind of companies would be in GW, but having a stock market might be an interesting twist. A way to make more gold or lose it all! I think this is the kind of idea that would probably be put into a expansion in the furture.

Good Idea, but you eill complain when it makes some people exceddingly wealthy. I'm talking 10's of millions of gold worth of stocks. While their at it though they should add the ability to buy options and futures and create tradeing cartels but then it would get to complacated for most. And companies stock prices would have to be realistic along with ceating supply shortages and the like . Imagine that for a week iron stoped being droped or salvagabel.(huge price rise) I have lots of ideas for how to make a good game economy the problem is with stuff liek quick travel a bunch of it gets a lot harder.

The idea is a good one but I dont think it would fit in with the time period. Sir_Intangible was in court today, he was accused of insider trading of dwarf slaves and ale. If he is convicted he will likely face the banning penalty...

Dwarven ale stock cannot be traded because the price is always the same...things like dyes, materials, etc. can be traded because that portion of the economy is essentially player-controlled

The concept of insider trading hasn't been invented yet...you would be tried for witchcraft and burnt at the stake for practicing "voodoo stock rituals"
