Best PvP/PvE Moments
DaRhino
Greetings everyone . I just started this thread with the hope that people have some interesting or funny PvP/PvE stories to tell. Feel free to post, no matter how long it is .

That time I single-handedly stopped the enemy ghostly hero from capturing the altar in HoH for a full 30 seconds, using nothing but distracting shot under quickening zephyr, for the win. Keep ignoring the ranger please.
Episodicfreak
Whipping 1 team in pvp in about 4 secs, and also holding the altar at the HoH until we were blitzed with 10secs to go. It was wicked
DaRhino
Haha, nice. Keep em comin' everyone!

Once when I had around 20 scarabs (the ones in the magguma jungle, can't remember their names right now) attacking me while my party completely ignored me and I kept healing for ages until eventually they all died and I was still healing myself. You gotta stop ignoring the monks people.
Shadowsting
Hmm..................................several.
- In Fissure of Woe once, we had two monks in the party, but one left a second before we gave Balthazar the money. So we had only one monk. We went for the group up north, but we accidentaly hit that two man patrol, and got clobbered. Only the monk and a warrior survived. The monk kept trying to rez me, and between the warrior and monk's distractions, I ressurected the entire party, killing two Shadow Warriors along the way. Nothing TOO special, but it felt awesome. Felt worthwhile.
- UW, doing a three man smite run. Started with 5, a monk and another nuker quitted early. Again, nothing too special, but again, it feels good taking out 5 smite crawlers almost single-handedly.
- UW, after failure after failure, never reaching even the village, I went with a party of complete UW virgins, other than me, of course. I took complete command, and we kicked ass. Ironically, I screwed it up by taking a quest, something that I told everyone else not to do. I didn't know that the Escort of Souls quest spawned those mobs of Mindblades, and unfortunately, they spawned about two feet away from a healer and a nuker, both of whol were afk. I think you all can guess the rest. Felt embarassed, but was still funny.

winning twice 3 rounds in tombs with a random grp of 4 people and 4 henchies - especially the 6 teams maps and the king of the hill were tough but fun.
βlitzkrieg
When we beat Koreans in HoH in a record (for us) 1:12.
MasterWS
When a guy took the last crystal at Elona's and got afk and made us fail the mission ...
Lews
When we took 1 hour to beat Burial Mounds. But it was flawless dammit! We just hid behind the walls, and if anyone came inside we nuked them. We kept healing each other, and eventually went after the last team.
Also, in burial mounds, being the next to last team, and charging them. THen they just all disappeared and it says 'victory,' and then running into Henchmen team all the way to HoH and loosing it in the last 5 secounds by being body blocked.

In Lion's Arch steamrolling through a team of 2 mesmers and 2 necros with my W/Me. Watching them pull out every anti-warrior hex in the book, Imagined Burden, Life Transfer, Empathy, Ineptitude, you name it, and smacking every single one down with hexbreaker. That was pretty cool.
CAT
Messing around with an all draining/smiting build. All of our team died except me (necro/monk). First i snuck back, took out the enemy priest AND ghostly hero with draining spells. Then i switched back, ressed my entire team and we won.

Not really interesting, but:
- Beating the bonus and main mission for Elona Reach with only henchies, after countless failed attempts with PuGs.
- Making it all the way through Snake Dance and Lornar's Pass with only henchies and clearing out all the enemies in the way to do so.
A sense of accomplishment is felt at those two points.

Beating a full team in GvG in under 1 minute Also, and match near an hour in GvG is enough to be considered excellent.
CAT
Also, fighting against a korean team in a hoh alter match. We were holding it and they killed us, sat there without taking alter. We ressed again, held off for another minute and slowly died. They didnt take alter. Ressed again, and we died again. They didnt take alter for the entire 10 minutes and we won.
Mister Glue
Once when I was playing with my guild in HoH, we were doing the 6-team battle and were one of the last 3 teams left. We were facing two French teams (they were both speaking French and from Europe, so we assumed they were French) who decided to work together and gang up on us because we were American (or that's what I got from their convo - I wasn't able to decipher most of it but I could understand enough to realise we were going to be hit hard). Well they both attacked with suprisingly good timing, but to our suprises, we held both of them off and killed enough of their teams that they backed off. I guess it was a good thing we were trying out a defensive build . Unfortunately we lost about 5 minutes later because no one was doing anything so we decided to attack. They both ganged up on us again and we dropped. It was still fun though.
Oh, and just today I beat the Gates of Kryta mission alone after all of my team quit. Good thing I had done the mission 50 times over so I knew what to do.
And one last thing - Beating the last mission in the game with henchies after failing 3 or 4 times with human teams because we suffered a lag spike in the exact same spot every time.

1. Everyone left my party at Frost Gate at the last part where you have to kill the boss and his minions, and then plug in the three gate pulley things. Solo'd it at level 9, even the guildy who was rushing me said it was impossible. :P
2. Winning HoH when we thought it was impossible.
3. Winning a round in the HoH levels when we were 2 Monks down.
4. Rushing guildies and friends through the first few missions in a matter of minutes.

OH MAN! Have I got some good ones.
1. Trip to Temple of Ages with a PuG, all of us around level 14 or 15. We got all the way to the Black Curtain with minimal problems, but then those huge undead mobs really started taking a toll on us. So we all ran it with 60% DP, and each time we hit a mob, one of us dropped off as a sacrificial lamb. We made it to the Temple of Ages with two people left and about 50 health each.
2. In HoH, we were playing against a few other American teams and two European ones. We slaughtered our first team (also American) and soon found that we were the only American team left. We had a 30 MINUTE (yes, 30 friggin minutes) stand off with the other teams while we decided who to attack. Eventually we rushed purple, but the yellow guys then stormed our shrine and killed our priest. We ran back to base quickly and ressed everyone while they fought it out. Purple won, then we rushed them and fought a lengthy battle. I think the total time of the match was around 1 hour 30 minutes.
3. Singlehandedly saved my party's ass near the end of Borlis Pass with a level 9 Ranger/Mesmer. There were a few Stone Summit Crushers and an ice golem left. With strategic use of Troll Unguent, chaos storm, and power shot I was able to beat them.

HoH, we're holding altar, 30 seconds left, 2 enemy air spike teams.
They charge in, wind up for their big attack, then I plop down a spellbreaker on the ghost hero. What came after that was the most pleasing melody of failed spells I've ever had the pleasure of hearing in this game. Swish swish swish... we even got a couple "WTF"s in those last seconds before we won it.

PVP : Finding out the opponent are mostly hench and my first korean kill:
Hamstring the fella, slashed him a lil bit and final thrusted him.
PVE : Beating gates of kryta mission with 2 people, 4 left because this person "galrath"(won't say his full name) Doesn't want to cooperate and keeps dissing W/Mos. Oink contributed the most

also things like my R/E being used for cannon fodder by the necro on our team as i had to be afk - summon bone fiend, res me, let em die.. summon bone fined.. etc. and then finally, the entire party, excpet for the lvl 12 being rese and all doing a sucidal cahrge into the ehaler, who we proceeded to mug. compeltely and utterly =)

As my W/Mo:
-Firstly when in random PVP when my whole team died except me I killed the other 2 W/mo there forced 2 run by the nuker and the monk that woz rezing. Ran all way round map rezed other W/mo killed mo b4 he rezed the other W/mo i then rezed my whole party and hunted down the straglers (And both side at the end going dude you own).
-Another random pvp match after 7 consecttive flawless wins with two monks and two W/mo (including me) we meet a team with the same combonation and we battle for three quarters of an hour (starting at 00:20) without a single death. Untill I force one of the monks away from the group and combine all my adrenial skills on him/her an then realising what had happend my group rushed the other monk. After than we spend 20 seconds taking care of the W/mo's. P.s for a good monk look for Gosu Healer.
-Elona reach mission and my team has brought back the secound crytal and head out the trap way for the third crystal. Knowing there going to die I sprint past the battle and slowly avoid monsters (using sprint and healing breeze) to get the crystal and return the proper way.
As my E/Mo:
-Takin on 10 hydras at once (in group) and winning somehow.
Any invite 2 good guild acepted (im english though)

Ok, I've got one...
Tomb of the Primeval Kings, we had an amazing group that had been created over the course of about 1.5 hours and many, many strategy shifts via Team Speak. It around our 4th time in and we were in the 6v6 arena. We basically camped right outside our starting area while the other teams killed eachother. Until the remaining teams noticed that we had camped the entire time. The yellows rushed us using every freakin' spirit I've ever seen against us. Most of us died because the spirits really jackdd us up. When it had gotten down to one person left on our team (a warrior), we had him kite the yellows into the teals, it worked beautifully, right up until the moment he was struck down by a random lightning orb... But hey, it was fun right!?

I know this isn't the section, but every time i get to the HoH alter match, I cannot figure out what to do.
3 questions.
1. How do you capure it.
2. If your ghostly hero does can you still win.
3. How often are you ressed.
As for stories, well, its not happy.
During the last beta I was playing some mission, and halfway through i got a phonecall from my uncle telling my and my dad my uncle died. I then posted in game "My uncle just died," and my teammates waited an hour for me

The other day I had a great time in the arena...
Our team was minus one disconnected member, making me think "Oh great, we've lost. ", but we didn't: we won! Not only did we win, but with a flawless victory! I was really chuffed with that. We went on to win about five more times, of which one was another flawless victory.

I have even more to add!
I just played the closest PvP game you could ever play. Sudden death, we killed them 1/4 seconds BEFORE they killed us. Needless to say, entertainment.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...stGameEver.jpg
From then on, we played till we lost at 33. This was in an organized Team Arena, and we played against many great parties, so 32 was a hard number to get. :P

i think my favorite pvp moment was spending the last months gaining fame and doing low level arenas and not getting jack and now doing it and getting faction for it that is definityly my favorite
Porkchop Sandwhiches
Well in Tombs it came down to my American PUG, a Europe group, and a Korean group from the 6 group area. I'm sure this has happened plenty of times before, but as we stood at a stand still getting the typical broken slander from Korea, our team and the Europe team made a pact and cornered the Koreans. We were shouting tactics at each other, "Take the monk! Number 5 quick!" etc, etc. It was such a great time, because the not so nice Korean team got squished rather quickly
When it came to our turn to fight eachother, we split up for a couple minutes to all regen for an even fight. We even exchanged a few /bows and "GG"s after our fight. Best time in there I had ever had, everyone was mature about it.

This is going to sound lame, but I am proud of the time when I was taking my elementalist through the Academy and we won the battle 9-0. (I never ever ever do pvp so this is a big deal for me.)
They never paid any attention to me, so I spammed firestorm (as well as you can spam firestorm) next to the rez area - they kept bunching there, dying, rezing, bunching, dying. It was really fun.

Here's two from the tombs.
As green team, capturing Teal's obelisk and killing two of their party members with it because they weren't paying attention. It would have lasted longer, but the koreans laughed so much on the chat that they noticed eventually.
My first time against a korean team 1 on 1 in tombs, I sprinted towards them since I was a tank and got slaughtered by the traps they had set =P.
Here's one from the arena.
I was trying out ele to see if I liked it with the pyromancer preset template. I was assigned to a full elementalist team, and we went "Oh shit" when we realized we had no form of healing or tanking at all. We had one fire elementalist, two air elementalists, and an earth elementalist. We got a good 9 flawless victories in a row and then another 6 victories this way. We finally died to a team using Mo, Mo, W, and E. We spiked their ele, but they healed way too fast for us to kill either monk or the war and we died eventually =(
