Considering you've only been a part of this community for a month, probably about the same time you purchased guildwars, it would be a pretty blind sited "sign against", And no, you can't.

Just who is allowed to vote then?

This isn't a poll, perhaps you're not fimiliar with the way how petitions work, you either sign them, or you don't.

Don't worry about it. StandardAI is just not a happy camper and so he's after someone's job. I doubt he'll get much support outside of a few pvp people that feel all neglected and downtrodden by ANet. This was tried late last month or early this month and shut down in sort order. Gaile and the rest of ANet know that the majority of people are quite pleased with her peformance.

I believe that StandardAI would like no other opinions voiced but those that support this "petition", but he's just got to deal with the fact that life just doesn't work that way.

You understand of course that this thread will most likely be removed.

I'm aware a majority of the people like her. This petition is for the people who've been around the block, and can see through the fog. The bottom line is having one person in charge of reporting threads/recruiting alpha/PR is a big mistake.

It doesn't really work like that you see, Either you have seen the true side of gaile, or you've seen the cute little side of her that she gets payed for, and you all hug her and tell her how wonderful she is. You can call it all lies, but something isn't a lie just because you havn't seen it.

So even though you realize the vast majority won't agree with you, you start a petition which in essence may only work if a significant part of the community signs it, and in all likelyhood will be ignored regardless?

This is inappropriate, as the other attempt was and it should be removed immediately.

This is a PERSONAL ATTACK on a person who, in my opinion has done nothing wrong to deserve this. What exactly has suddently gotten you so uptight after a peaceful time?

This is outrageous in my opinion, and nothing more than an attack and means to cause an unnecessary uproar.

"This is an attack on a person with no grounds other than their disharmony, this is an outrage." Just because you havn't seen everything stated in my petition doesn't mean that it hasn't happened. A lot of us have seen it, and those who have are the ones who are signing my petition. We've been talking about how gaile doesn't do her job correctly well prior to release for a long time on IRC, now it's just being brought to the forums.

In the interest of fairness maybe someone should start a petition calling for a permanent ban of the petitioners.

I have had some disagreements with the way Gaile has handled some things and i'm probably one of the people this thread is intended for. I was one of those people who was trying to get into the Alpha test (tried and failed for over a YEAR) and finally got sick of the whole process after I became aware that it was entirely a matter of who you knew and how much butt you were willing to kiss.

However, I think Gaile is doing her job quite well. The problem is you don't quite understand exactly what her job is. Her job is to be the pleasant smiling face of Anet and always put the best possible face on things. (even to the point of being slightly misleading) She does that quite well and deserves a raise. Her job isn't to be somebody's personal conduit to the developers. The dev's can use a web browser too you know. Gaile probably has nothing to do with what does and does not change in the game.

As to people having their concerns heard, Anet has been doing a very good job of it thus far. It takes time to make major changes and they can only do so many things at once. I'm not so much defending as asking folks to be realistic. I would say it would be fair to say people's concerns haven't been heard if there hadn't been an update fixing and changing things almost every week since release. Get over it. You're concerns will be heard and adressed if Anet things they are valid. If they aren't then you're up a creek. Things just take time.

As to starting a petition, what possible effect do you think it would have? For every one person who know's what they're talking about, there are 10 who didn't discover the game until a month ago and are signing it just to sign it. So, since the results won't really be valid, the only thing it may accomplish is to draw attention to the issue.... and to you.

Or rather, more fair, a permanant ban on anymore threads attempting to cause someone to lose their job. Arena.Net feels Gaile is adequate, who are we to complain? Some of our community isn't intelligent enough, or old enough to understand some of the workings of how she does her job, and how is it that you yourself seem to know who Gaile really is? That, is an assumption, and I restate, this is a personal attack, by no means is it creatively trying to help the community. Part of that petition states that she should be fired, and it is taken in such a distasteful way that this seems inappropriate and does NOT belong here, regardless what you think you know about Gaile, we all see her the same way you do, on these forums, in game, but never, in real life.

True or not, this is not the place to attempt this, yet again.
